It's my first day in London and I'm jet-lagged as fuck, so what do I decide to do? Hop on the tube and go up to see Cursed in Camden at The Underworld. I get there at about 6:30, but doors aren't opening until 8 PM and it's cold as shit. I go next door to the pub for a little bit to kill some time. I talked to two British girls outside of the venue, and watched one puke behind a telephone booth. Finally the doors open and I go inside (by the way, our exchange rate sucks there, the admission to the show wound up being like 16 dollars American).

Yeah, I saw three of the best shows of my life in like a 2 1/2 week span. Saw them in Sweden, it was great and everything, but the show a week after with RIGHTEOUS JAMS was the best fucking show ever. Really. Ever. hey, I just found a typo that I did, the song's title is Opposable Thumbs not Opposable Thumb. Dude, who are you that you've read my livejournal before!? Oh Brizzle, your LiveJournal entries always entertain me so. No, my school has a really good study abroad program and in order to get kids interested they have a deal where you go to London for spring break for only $245. If you wanna read about all of my London exploits I got it posted on my livejournal: did you just go to england just for this review? There's some great venues in London, but I'm not a big fan of the Underworld. I saw PMFS rip it up Upstairs at the Garage - if memory serves - and you should definitely check it their concert schedule while you're there. The Garage itself is also pretty cool. Just my 2 cents. oh, and not only was I jet lagged but I was also recovering from a horrible cold I had had for a week and missed much school because of. |
