Although I usually don't get too involved with the brutal NY hardcore department, quite a bunch of those have dropped in my mailbox over the last couple years. Most of them never got a proper review here because I just hate bad roaring and screaming vocals. But lately that scene is really impressing me with some fantastic releases from bands like Kill Your Idols and Western Addiction, to name just a few, that really showed a lot of harmony and/or catchiness and managed to drag me along their stampeding outbursts.

the singer is so good but such a huge douchebag. for being such a great NYHC band, you would think buffalo would be closer than 7 hours from NYC. i hate when people unfamiliar with hardcore try to review hardcore records. saw them open up for bane/comeback kid/with honor. they were pretty good. that was my garage, that show was fun but most rochester kids suck. they got a 7" verison of the record out on round 2 www.round2records.net and triple attack www.tripleattackrecords.com Neither Kill Your Idols or Western Addiction have or have ever had anything to do with "Brutal NY Hardcore". But that's just being picky. this band is so fucking good, i don't know how you reviewed this and failed to mention the suicide file, as dead hearts sounds quite like them. if this band comes to your area go see them, i saw them two days ago in this dudes garage and it fucking ruled. | Features
