First of all, the Crack Rock Steady demo by Choking Victim has a terrible sound, it sounds like a home made recording, I bet it is.

In my personal opinion this is a great release, it has a really shitty sound but shows the class in Choking Victim's musical and intellectual talent, awesome lyrics and impressive bass lines by sasha.

This is the perfect release for a real Choking Victim fan, it's have a very rotten sound but it shows what Choking Victim really is, too bad this band no longer exists.

My favorite song from the demo is "500 channels", great choruses (I'm a chorus fan).

If you wanna hear the real Choking Victim you should definitely get the album [No Gods / No Managers] (one of the best albums I've ever heard) but if you have already heard the album and need to expand it this perfect for you.

    My Score:

it is songs like infested that seperate the chokey v wheat from the loc chaff. it's funny, clever, political, and a kick ass tune. awesome album and only 'apple pies and police state' lets it down.

The sound Quality may suck, sure... but I'm not rating this album on shitty recording equipment, it's all about the music. Personally, I think the music fucking rocks. It's all about the Crack Rock Steady!

    My Score:

Yep, this album kicks more arse than I care to mention. I reckon that the recording quality gets better as it goes along, like the song choking victim sounds awful, but suicide is as good as the one on No Gods.

I'd have to agree on the sound thing. Its poorly recorded.

That being said, its got some great tunes.

I must admit I am wrong. I got this mixed up with the Crack Rock Steady EP/Squatta's Paradise 7" combo. I'm sorry and well make fun of me if you must. :)

I didn't really like this at first, esp' since I had just gotten No/gods...
but I have become to love it. Sure the first four songs are of bad quality but in some sick way it makes it sound all the better. Born to die really is the stand out track on this CD, buy it just for that.
500 Channels is on it? Maybe you should listen to a CD before reviewing it, then you'd get the facts right and have a decent sized review.

Yeah it was recorded in 1900??? where at edison studios? decent album...I have to agree they take the satanism shit too far. the CD is not really good well, choking victim isnt that good. So i guess that explains it.

    Just joking Bro.

    My Score:

Decent band, the Satanism thing is lame, it was funny the first time, but they just overdo that shit, same with Leftover Crack.
