I'll start by saying that I know this is not a punk review, but if you don't get Clutch or like them...you are missing out on a really good thing.

Got an advance copy of Clutch's latest, Robot Hive / Exodus and it's fucking amazing! I'm a fan of about half of everything Clutch has done. Except for their brilliant debut and the near-perfect Blast Tyrant, I've always found their stuff to be hit and miss. However, with Robot Hive, Neil Fallon & crew have assembled a masterpiece of pure rock fury. And by the way, calling Clutch "buttrock" is like calling Green Day "punk" - it's stupid and uninformed. "We need to buy some weed, if anybody has some meet us at the merch table after the set." Man, I was gonna catch this tour, and then I found out tickets were 20 bucks. I love Clutch, but I just can't spend that much on one band. Clutch is a great band, but I'm not sure about being the "best live band ever". They're great live, but I can name a couple bands that are/were better live- Bad Brains, Nausea, Black Flag, Naked Raygun, X, Rollins Band- yeah, they could all hold their own against Clutch. "Best live or recorded rock band ever". Wow, someone isn't very clever at hiding their bias for band. Employed by the label? Everyone knows this band is SHITTY buttrock. You're dead on about Clutch. No other rock band can touch their live show. | Features
