Well, let me tell you, I was stoked when I saw the record label on this puppy. Level Plane put out one of the best records of 2004 that I didn't hear until 2005, namely, Coliseum's full-length debut. Now, Level Plane has put out some other stuff that I don't like; namely, screamo. But the label holds my respect, and so I came into this not knowing to expect.

Posted by Jesse on 2005-05-13 02:54:54 Is this fucking kid still reviewing albums? I think I'm going to have to change sites for my reviews at this point... I always thought that the people who ran punknews.org would at least be able to choose decent staff to review albums but apparently I was mistaken. the two songs fromt the ted leo split are great. are the other cds like that, or is that the only acoustic stuff? Shikari are Level Plane "screamo" and they are fucking awesome. i saw them a while ago and didn't get the hype. thought they were kinda boring. I'm going to respond to this before Jesse does, because he'll be a lot less kind about it. Rightfully so, but anyhow: jesse, you're more than ignorant, you're retarded. don't review bands you don't know. somebody liked the cool boarders series! i love this band, haven't heard this cd yet though One AM Radio isn't the most exciting thing I've ever heard but it's a nice mellow jam. solid. Good review, even though I like these guys. For a remix cd this cd is pretty good. All of the other One Am Radio cds are great. Including the split with Ted Leo. The screamo that level plane puts out is the original shit, and it's fucking amazing. Ooooooh, they named the title with the last two letters not in italics? I think you'd like the first two albums that Scott mentioned. They had an EP in there somewhere called An Assemblyas well that was the same lo-fi indie stuff. A Name Writ in Water for you lazy folks. In the words of Michael Jackson, "That's ignorant." |
