When you hear a name like Clit 45, it will almost instantly catch your attention. Even with that attention-getter band name, their music speaks for itself. After getting this CD when it was released, I eagerly listened to it. The first time I was not all that impressed, but once I heard it a second time, it quickly became one of my favorite CDs that I own.

The band’s songs don’t exactly sound the same, and they each have their own identity to them. When I think of a punk band putting something out, it is normally the same old drinking songs or about violence on the streets. This band is more about the music than anything, and it is evident once you hear this album.

After all the years of creating a national and international fan-base, it is time that Clit 45 got the respect that they deserve. For all that this band has gone through it is amazing to realize they are still around. From band members dying while touring to the drug problems they have endured, these problems show up in their music.

One of my favorite tracks, “Caught In A Crack,” deals with the drug addiction, but is actually a very good song. The track “Teeth On The Floor” is a song that will get most kids pumped up when they hear it at a live show. The musical riffs just get the body pumping, and will probably whip crowds up into a frenzy while this song is being played. And finally, probably the best track on this album is “The Storm Is Over;” this is just an amazing song, and shows the most of their musical talents. But the entire album has songs displaying this passion of theirs, and they all have their own positive qualities that I am just too lazy to type out. So check their stuff out here.

If you are into the Lower Class Brats, the Casualties, Virus, Cheap Sex, Endless Struggle, Action, or the early Unseen stuff, you will probably get into this album.

It's official: BYO Records have the WORST international mail order service ever. I ordered some stuff from them in July, and I've yet to receive it. I e-mailed them about it 9 days ago, and they still haven't responded.

"I definitely dig this album. I definitely think it is worthy of a nine simply because it strays away from the "street punk" mold that a lot of those bands (the ones mentioned in the review) fall into. This is street punk at its finest..... I honestly cannot think of another street punk band who's put out an album like this one...."

    The last line should read:

"If you are into the Lower Class Brats, the Casualties, Virus, Cheap Sex, Endless Struggle, Action, or the early Unseen stuff [ and would like to hear what the style all these idiots are playing SHOULD sound like] buy this record or any other clit 45 record."

Bad album, badly reviewed. One star for the complete package.

award for WORST BAND NAME EVER... honestly, where the fuck did they get that shit?

    Anonymous (June 21, 2005)

The last line turns me completely off of this band.

I like their one cd a lot. This album wasn't quite as good as Tales from the Clit, but it's decent. Bullshit Fucking Waste Of Time is one of my favorite tracks on my iTunes... good stuff... they're not bad live either...
