Terminal sounds a lot like Recover. More specifically, they sound like Ceci N’est Pas-era Recover. This will cause potential listeners to tell themselves one of two things: “Hey, I might like this, it sounds like Recover before they deteriorated into watered-down 'emo' pop-rock and put out that apathetic piece of crap about disappearing,” or “Oh man, this sounds like when Recover failed miserably at doing that ‘rock’ CD instead of the screaming post-hardcore thing they were fairly good at” (or even “omGz fREe pr0n?!?!”). For me, it’s the former, and while it doesn't have any sickly-looking topless girls in its liner notes, How The Lonely Keep is the proper continuation upon Ceci that fans of the EP, like myself, never received.

And does anyone else think that 'Dark' has a vibe that kind of reminds you of the main song from Crash, at least the one part in it. This stuff is fucking awesome. travis bryant has an out standing voice, band has a lot of potential, cd was enjoyable. THis is a christian band??? it makes me want to go slit my wrists this sounds like underoath (chasing safety) minus the screaming. quite enjoyable, but nothing groundbreaking. I disagree with the Recover illusion. The vocals are inarguably similar, but the music lacks the bite that Recover dilivers. Terminal's drums are too polished and the guitars don't attack like Recover. While Recover's new album was a let down, it still isn't as obvious emorock as Terminal. I'd buy Recover's album over this even as depressing as it was. My score is for Terminal's album. Watching, Wasing, Waiting is a good song notwithstanding. yeah, dark is a great song. i heard that one first and i got excited. everything else didn't quite make it up to that level. maybe next album... i was reading 'old recover' and gave it a listen. free pron? |
