Goddammit.

Who decided it was a good idea to match Mötley Crüe's attitude with a shameless rip musically of Every Time I Die's Hot Damn!? Honestly now. Fess up, because it's produced perhaps the most truly ridiculous cock rock-dependent metalcore album of the past decade (outdoing Coalesce's There Is Nothing New Under The Sun in the "ridiculous metalcore albums" category easily).

For ten tracks straight, Fight Paris will tell you how much they like fucking. And how. Sample cringe-worthy offerings include "and that trick she does with her tongue, oh yeah, I taught her that one," "the south is rising if you know what I mean," and "for you, I'll make that innocence go away." I'm fairly sure I contracted some sort of venereal disease just by coming into contact with the liner notes, which, by the way, contain pictures of likely-coked up girls (hookers), filtered with various colors and making plenty of artifically seductive poses. Oh, and there's some clips of female moaning on the record. And some guitar solos. And some more moaning. And then some guitar solos. And some missed rent payments on the trailer.

Paradise Found can and will be flaunted as an album representing the heart of rock'n'roll. But if the heart of rock'n'roll means executing one of the most currently trendy styles with horribly idiotic, feminist group bait for songwriting, then here's to hoping rock'n'roll is on the "Super Size Me" diet and clogs every artery leading to it.

holy shit. these guys really are fucking atrocious.

first of all, this ass clown of a singer has the clumsiest voice i've ever heard. he is not appealing to listen to. he sounds fucking gross.

the music is so incredibly frustrating, because it could so easily be good. they're trying to write rock'n'roll riffs with a whole bunch of attitude, and they're failing so miserably at it, it's not even funny.

oh, and cool lyrics about how much you fucking party and get beej's from ugly sluts.

    FUCK. THIS. BAND.

well obviously the only reason you dont like FP is cuz youre a pussy. They kick so much ass, its not even funny. Dont be jealous that they can write shit thats like, half metal half porno. faggot, the solos are sick, and the lyrics are even better. Go listen to your goo goo dolls or someshit cuz FP is the real deal, and i fucking love them. So fuck you and learn how to live fun/fast, its a fucking blast.

All you kids are lame for bashing FP and ETID. Just because you don't fucking appreciate a band doesn't mean someone else doesn't enjoy them.

And who cares if its about sex and drinking and shit? I'm a girl and I'm not offended, I think its funny.

So get over yourself and suck a dick.

I mean, of course I have preferences, but I respect the effort that any band puts into their music. It's music people, and the lyrics are just part of it. Accept it. Besides, Fight Paris is frickin' awsome! ( I would eplain my love for them in more words, but I might get carried away...and we don't want to offend anybody...now do we?)[sarcasm] Seriously people, CHILL.

jesus tap dancing christ! i cant believe you people are really tearing these bands and lables apart. its music for fucks sake. its there for your listening pleasure, not for some fifteen year old to shit on because they think they're cool for wearing skin tight shirts and girls jeans. let the band do what they want to do and if you don't appreciate it then sell the cd back to sam goody and shut the fuck up.

    My Score:

Most of the criticism I've seen makes me wonder how old some of you are, maybe you're a little new to this whole rock and roll thing. Simple is not stupid when it comes to rock, take a look at AC/DC. Half of their songs are massively juvenile sexual innuendos of varying degrees of cleverness, and if you can get off your fucking pedastal you'll realize their all about having fun and rocking out. So is Fight Paris. I found the lack of whining refreshing. And if they were indeed a nu-metal band before this, good for them, maybe they grew up and stopped being so retarded, I can only respect that. You can't hate a band for mistakes they've corrected.

If you want a hardcore band with truly retarded lryics look at something like The Blood Brothers. They don't even make sense. Yet somehow they managed to get a 5/5 on this site for "such passionate vocals". Don't even try that shit, they just wrote the first things they they could think of and screamed it to see what effect they had.

The only thing bad about this band is the lyrical style makes every song sound the same. But mixed in with other cds it is perfectly fine.

So the bottom line is if you like Accept and Rise Against then you'll probably love Fight Paris. Of course everybody here probably hates Rise Against anyway because they got too popular to be cool.

This cd rocks, yes it talks about endless sex, ass kicing, atlanta, beer, and objectifying women, but it rocks, its not the first cd to do this and won't be the last. Stop crying cause its "offensive" thats what rock is. Have some fun and let loose and calm down.

For anyone who is still arguing about Every Time I Die's lyrics, Buckley was an English major in college and was planning on becoming a college professor...so maybe, just MAYBE, that has something to do with the lyrics being so tongue-in-cheek and, more so, intelligent.

Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, August 3, 2005 at 12:25 PM (EDT)

I don't care for this band, Every Time I Die, or any of that crap...but I am curious about the comments "Fight Paris were a nu metal band before they heard ETID".

...is their any proof of this, or are you homos just gonna keep saying that?

This shit still sucks and this label is lame. I have given them way too many chances. Anyone who says Victory is worse is lying, despite Victory putting out just as much crap, Victory still puts out a few solid releases from time to time. Something that Trustkill hardly ever does. All gimmick bands or generic emo bands. This band, as said before, were nu metal dudes before hearing ETID, they aren't from the hardcore scene and should not be supported as such.

i don't understand the hatred. i hardly like any new releases that this site reviews, but i heard these guys the other day and they sounded alright. and i hate metalcore bullshit like everytime i die. i don't see anything sexist about the lyrics, just because they're about sex. maybe a little over the top, but gang green was singing songs like this years ago. "cum in you", "put her on top", "sheet rock."

don't pretend that a lot of you don't love motley crue or guns n roses, or at least wear their vintage t-shirts about 2 sizes too small. or that you don't troll for underage myspace girls with low self-esteem.

I thought Southern Comfort (Despite very goofy lyrics), Fuck Me Stilettos and even the weird Norma Jean vibe on You Gotta Stop And Smell The Roses were really catchy. This stuff is driving music. Though, this band really fucked up by using Complete Heat as their single type thing. It's terrible.

    My Score:

Fight Paris is in no way good, but in no way at the same score of Hawthorne Heights and the such.

I prefer this much more than half of the undeserving metalcore shite that this site praises. And fuck it... I loved the Crue.

Ohoh ... we´re getting PC again, lock all the doors and listen to Minor Threat ...
Ilike this record, it`s just a good time listening and not a single bit worse than all the emo/pop-punk/screamo-bullshit out there at the moment ... at least this rocks!

    My Score:

after reading the review and comments, i'd like to say:

jesse - no label could ever be as bad as victory. they signed that band Aiden, remember?

everyone else - i don't think the fact that these songs are "sexist" is what makes them bad. i think the fact that these songs are dumb and made from everytime i die's throwaway riffs are what make them bad.
also, it's possible to be sexist and still be clever or funny. FP just aren't. if nothing else, i've got to give this to them, the whole "bringing sex back to rock n roll" gimmick will get them at least a little attention and money; hell, it got them signed.

before i read this, i'd just like to say i'm glad this got a 1/10.

Trustkill is getting one step closer to being the worst label around, next to Victory.

    My Score:

Well I heard that Complete Heat song on the Trustkill sampler. And I can say this...the whole Every Time I Die comparison ends at the vocals. Every Time I Die shred these two-bit motherfuckers with precision. And is it me, or does Every Time I Die actually have GOOD lyrics. Nothing like this stupid garbage. I swear this band has to be the biggest load of trash I've ever heard.

Trustkill sucks. Most Precious Blood and Walls Of Jericho might be the only bands worth listening to on that shitty label anymore. Maybe Bleeding Through is decent.

Probably one of the biggest abominations in the past decade to be released.

How lame. Maybe touring with Don Vito will help their musical careers.

    Ramo
    (Dico only matters)

these were like the dudes that didn't hook up with chicks until they were 19 and had so much angst they ripped crap rock and ETID in some lame hoax. I really haven't heard something this bad in while; the sad part is that, alot of other bands will copy this band too!

Posted by Anonymous on Friday, July 29, 2005 at 1:52 AM (EDT)

hahahaha, anyone who thinks that this band take themselves seriously should be shot..

    well, you're not missing out.

I've never heard a song by these guys, but I don't want to after this review.

'just about any song about women has been branded as "not punk rock." Does this mean that women themselves aren't punk rock?'

of course not. how can they be punk rock when they're busy making my dinner?

Posted by Anonymous on Friday, July 29, 2005 at 1:31 AM (EDT)

Yeah, that's exactly it... You fucking moron. Punk rock or not, songs that objectify women aren't funny or cool anymore.

I have only heard the 2 songs up on Trustkill's website, but I liked what I heard. I guess I am the only one here. Say what you want about the lyrics, but I thought the music was top notch.

and as I have noticed, just about any song about women has been branded as "not punk rock." Does this mean that women themselves aren't punk rock?

these guys are a bunch of fags.

Posted by Anonymous on Friday, July 29, 2005 at 1:04 AM (EDT)

I saw this band. They sucked. They called people "fags" and thought it was ok. When somebody said something about it, they called him a fag. They tried to sell my girlfriend a thong and questioned my manhood when I didn't want to buy one for her. Any band that makes thongs with their name on it should be shot.

"outdoing Coalesce's There Is Nothing New Under The Sun in the "ridiculous metalcore albums" category easily"

Your ridiculous for saying such a ridiculous comment.

    My Score:

My friend tried to drag me to see this band once. I thought their name sounded fishy. I don't understand why these bands think songs about objectifying women are cool. I guess it goes hand in hand with the fact that this scene (fashionmetalpantscore or whatever) is dominated by underage, often insecure girls. I guess someone had to capitalize on it.

So yeah, using women is really rockin'... I'm sure that's what punk rock is all about...

What a fucking joke. I hope they don't take themselves seriously.

This band makes Avenged Sevenfold seem like Iron Maiden
