| Modern Life Is War / Dead Heartslive in Pittsburgh2005 live show Review by: gregs See others by this writer Only registered users can post comments Published on August 2nd 2005
The lineup was Hank Jones, Crime In Stereo, Dead Hearts, and Modern Life Is War. The show was at Brave New World in Pittsburgh and it's actually a record store. I live out of town and had been to Brave New World to record shop once before, so I was thrilled to be able to do so as the bands played. There's nothing better than record shopping during bands you're not terribly interested in. Drinking doesn't count because I have to drive an hour and a half home and record stores don't sell booze anyways.

thats what you get being a vinyl-fag. shit, I can't believe i missed modern life is war. I never hear about anything before it happens. This show sounded like fun. I missed Hank Jones when they came to Philly cause...I don't know why. But I wish I went. Modern Life Is War is intense live. Pictures from the show "dude did you read the whole sentence the guy wrote?fucking tool" "'it's an amazingly written' Hank Jones is terrible. There are so many bands playing great, fast, pissed-off, "old school" (augh, you mean 1st wave / maybe 2nd wave) hardcore punk, and they are not one of them. great, another review where the reviewer didnt really watch the show nor know any of the bands, i'm really glad i took the time to read this Can we get Crime in Stereo squeezed into the title by any chance? Please? "it's an amazingly written" "i don't get what all the hype this site created for modern ife is war. i think their cd is junk." Can we get Crime in Stereo squeezed into the title by any chance? Please? i don't get what all the hype this site created for modern ife is war. i think their cd is junk. i went to this show i drove from cleveland. missed crime in stereo and hank jones due to the fact that was unaware that it started so early....allthough i did just see crime in stereo 4 days prior to this show so iwasnt that all upset. Modern Life is War are so god damned awesome. HAAAAAANK JOOOOOOONES! Oh, and Crime In Stereo mentioned that a 4-song single/EP would be out on Nitro in a few months, with 2 songs from the upcoming LP (due out Jan. '06) and 2 B-sides on it. Great show/review, summed it up perfectly aside from Hank Jones, who I thought were decent. Modern Life Is War was incredible, definitely made me wish I was more familiar with their older stuff. |
