i saw these same bands in irving plaza....it was the loved ones, comeback kid, fata, and rise against. loved ones were great and a lot of fun. comeback kid was rlly enegetic and rlly into it. Fata on the other hand was a joke. the singer appeared to be a 40 year old with tits then the drummer/ singer was an asshole complaining how he hated opening for rise against then the guitarist was a fashion fuck. in other words they blew.Rise against was amazing and put sum real energy into the show except chris chase who jus kinda stood there..but joe did sum cool jumps n shit

rise against had the crowd going insane at this show. one of the best live bands ive seen, still got it despite desire to get big. (fall out boy sucks)

Rise Against is amazing live and I feel sorry for anyone that thinks differently... not to mention I'd LOVE to hear of a band that's as good at what they do. I've been to 2 warped tours and I've yet to see a band get the crowd going as much as RA did when I saw them in 04. Best performance I've saw to date and that was only a short 30 minute set... I don't even need to get into the detail of the music or the lyrics. They're a step above alot of punk bands who you could question if they fnished high school based on their lyrics.

This was without a doubt the worst crowd I have ever seen at any show. Mosh jocks from Virginia Beach made up a good percentage of the audience. Fuck Rise Against for turning into the kind of band that invites this kind of crowd. The Loved Ones were the only spot of decency here.

when I saw RA with Alk3, Chris had no stage presence, but he seemed decent when they headlined last fall.

I know Chris is a good guitar player, it just seems at times he doesn't seem 100% comfortable with some of the older rise against songs, especially the solos.

Chris is an amazing addition to Rise Against live and recording(and he's been in the band for well over a year so he's not 'new).

Actually my feelings are on the contrary to what you just said. I think that this show proved to me that Rise Against is "keeping it real". I'm sure that Chris is a wonderful guitar player, he just seems to lack energy the three times I've seen him witht the band. But music is subjective.

the rise against set list is almost exactly the same as it was in cincy. is it just me or does it seem like their new guitar player just doesn't quite fit in yet?

Three song is a good number?.... I used to own To Bad Your Beautiful and I heard a couple off of Fiction, but i don't care. Some people just love to hate.

a couple years ago there was a point where FATA was my favorite band. i walked out halfway into their first song on this tour. they somehow went from being pretty neutral and good with TBYB, with a slight slump with TFWL, and at that point could have gone either way.

they decided to go the "lets grow fag emo hair and make a shitty album cover and title and song titles and start sucking dick." route. except that the singer is actually balding so he cant pull off the hair, and he is also a fat lardass motherfucker. it's like my drunk uncle is singing to me or something it's impossible to get into. and fran looks like he is atrophying of AIDS or something.

they've become a joke.

this will be their last album and i predict that they will break up by spring of next year.

So all of these people talking about how awesome Rise Against is, I finally heard your band... Right before Radio Free Rosco.

Are there two bands named Rise Against? This one played a shitty acoustic song with sappy assed lyrics and the video looked like it was just some ugly dude in a Bane hoodie (go figure) getting pulled around in a radio flyer or something.

Well, I never said I liked Swing Life Away, I was just glad that if they were gonna play it, that they diddn't save if for their encore. Oh, and I don't know which FATA you know, but the FATA I know was horrific to watch.

score is for niel hennessey of the lawrence arms, b/c he is th person who wrote SWING LIFE AWAY. you can check out when they first released it on that fearless comp and he admitted it himself. i guess they worked out some deal for teh major label release. weird shit

Rumors Of My Demise... and State Of The Union are the best songs off their latest record. The whole thing's pretty great though, so no complaints. Except Swing Life Away, that song grates on me. I'm not gonna say they sold out or anything, I just don't like that particular song and the thought of that as their encore is pretty bad - I'm glad they stopped doing that.

what a terrible review....there is absolutely no reason to assume that RA was trying to get "big" with Siren Song. Back in the day Tim was in a Chicago band called Baxter who played the pop-rock songs you love to hate like "swing life away"

PS. KE Dynamite is one of my fav. bands too.....nice one

"My life inside your heart"? Nice, I hope they play that and "Everchanging" when I see them soon. I always thought they OPENED with "To the these streets belong".

And dude, you seriously need to apprieciate Comeback Kid. Album of the year so far.
