Wait. Hold up. This has members of caP’n Jazz, Joan Of Arc, and Owls...excluding Mike and/or Tim Kinsella? Say it isn’t so! Why would a band do such a thing? Create a band that has post-emo indie guitar riffs, yet not have either of the Kinsella kids provide vocals? Sounds like a total drag. Well kids, sadly, this album has no vocals in the first place, which actually proves to be Precious Blood’s greatest downfall.

wow, no mention of Victor Villarreal - mastermind behidn Cap'n Jazz, this here Ghosts and Vodka and the memorable (though anti-prolific) Noyes. If you are not so keen on him, become so. i love ghosts and vodka! i was told that todd pot (apocalypse hoboken) was supposed to be the vocalist for the band. i'm not sure why that never happened. if you dig ghosts and vodka make sure you check out AN AUTOMOTIVE. they pick up where ghosts and vodka left off but with vocals. what i would do to see cap'n jazz Hey, Explosions in the Sky are THE intstrumental band because they're just that good. This is an amazing album - sounds like nothing else. And I agree that this is an instrumental you wont fall alseep too, it keeps you on your toes. The cover is awesome. Makes me want to get the cd its crazy that explosions in the sky are THE instamental band. this is a really strange, but beautiful record that serve the band members to standout from the shadows created behind the genius work of the kinsella brothers. pretty good cd. the cover kicks ass Sweet band name, but Joan of Arc sends me running away like steve prefontaine. Joan of Arc kicks ass. I don't care what anyone says. Tim Kinsella is a fuckin genius. They put out 3 albums without real songs on them that are still better than any of the garbage you listen to. "As Black Pants Make Cat Hairs Appear" is amazing. |
