What happened when Sublime stopped making records due to the untimely death of Brad Nowell? Did you regress, and go back to your individual rap, rock or reggae? Did you wonder, like me, if somewhere in the world this unique combination of genre existed in another artist? Well, it did, it does, and we’re all missing out (congrats to those who knew).

Fuck Sublime and this shit, chill out music = ahleuchatistas, holla! ALL THE BITCHS AT SKUNK CAN EAT COCK THey are a bunch of spoiled bitchs, they are not even a record label anymore and you got these CHUMPS running skunk and the sublimearchive...............................that music is going downhill right with there mang. peace there site is ran by a bunch of tards I think all the stoopid cds are good. also, the comment about badfish crew is right on. they are one of the best bands around. Also, badfish crew is not the same as ripoffs as badfish sublime tribute band. I don't mind SS so much, but both times I've seen them they've been upstaged by their opening acts, the first time by Bargain Music and last time by Fishbone (who should've been the headliner). "same with pepper and any other shitty sublime ripoff band who ends up signed to skunk records." this band and review are slightly stoopid. "same with pepper and any other shitty sublime ripoff band who ends up signed to skunk records." I liked a few songs on this album, but overall, it really disappointed me. I think they tried to break into the mainstream with this one and it flopped. Longet Barrel Ride is a great album..the acoustic one is pretty good, too. I've seen them many times and they didn't change their setlist very often and tried to do some corny hip hop numbers. I think they do great dub songs and should stick to thost. I like people who end their comments with "Peace". Some of you guys are real dumbasses. So this isn't their best album. But it deserves atleast 3 stars for having some damn good individual tracks like "Mellow Mood". So they through together a quick album during a transition period without a drummer. If you haven't heard "Longest Barrel Ride", "Acoustic Roots", or !!!"Closer To The Sun"!!! you really have no right to talk shit about this band. They are not a "Sublime Rip-off" and they are not from Florida dumb shit. They were discovered by Bradley and he worked with them on their first album. Learn some history and listen to their other albums before talking shit. Peace. i can't believe anyone other than stoners likes this band. i've seen them a few times because better artists were playing with them, ie fishbone, and figured you had to be high to enjoy this crud. same with pepper and any other shitty sublime ripoff band who ends up signed to skunk records. This cd is great. for the fucking burnouts out there that think the genre died with sulblime, check these guys out. Invite some friends over for drinks, get the greens, and enjoy the ride. Shit, these guys are so diversely talented they've even satisfied the John Denver fans with arguably the most improved version of “Leaving on a Jet Plane” in years. Invite some friends over for drinks, get the greens, and enjoy the ride. seriously, is this review a joke? wasn't "leaving on a jet plane" a Peter, Paul, and Mary song orginally? noooooo! I hoped to never see another review from this kid. Fucker on the album cover should put on a goddamned shirt. Ugh. Jones the Bones - You should download Stoopid's "Perfect Gentleman", "Just a Buzz", or"Johnny Law"....they actually do punk surprisingly well. here's my score On an unrelated note, does anyone know if the new Damien Marley album is any good? "To quote Discharge: "Why, why, why, why, why, but why?" Total shit." I just said "I guess" twice in one sentence. My bad. I just think that user reviews should be checked over by someone before they get posted. I know that Brian already spell checks them and such, so you know he reads through this shit. When something as obviously undeserving as this (or say...i dunno...A PERFECT SCORE FOR FUCKING TWELVE TRIBES) is submitted, it should just be canned for sheer stupidity. It would make people who arent staff have to work harder and not just slap a 10 on anything they like. Good muthafucking point muthafucka.
Most people are basing their ratings w/o even having herd their music. Yes they do play the sk8/regga/punk genre, but they are very good at it. Give them a chance on their own meirts, not sublime comparisons. I have not herd this cd, but i have their newer one Closer to The Sun. I must say that the cd is supprisingly good. Most people are basing their ratings w/o even having herd their music. Yes they do play the sk8/regga/punk genre, but they are very good at it. Give them a chance on their own meirts, not sublime comparisons. Uh, Sublime sucked, this band probably sucks even harder. To quote Discharge: "Why, why, why, why, why, but why?" Total shit. "i think this band is from florida. how can you look at this cd's cover, see the band members, and still listen to this shit? Score is for the band and their fans i think this band is from florida. I don't know why but this review made me less interested in the band. I mean, it's not a bad review and it gave me an idea of a band I otherwise knew nothing about. But, perhaps knowing more about them makes me like them less. wow, reading that review made me hate this band more. :0 :/ it shit like this. it appears to be a weekly occurrence, someone gives what will in two years be a forgotten release a perfect rating on par with real classics like Damaged, Milo goes to college, london calling etc. i think punknews should consider eliminating accepting submitted reviews from just anyone. terrible band name and horrible cover art excludes this album from a perfect rating before even listening to it. P.S., much of this review is stolen, I've seen a lot of the lines here on other "Everything You Need" reviews. A perfect ten!?!? You've gotta be kidding me. Maybe "The Longest Barrel Ride", but not this cheesy drum-machine-and-acoustic-guitar mangled mess. Out of the whole album, there are only like 4, maybe 5 really good songs: Perfect Gentleman, Officer, Sweet Honey, Punk Rock Billy and maybe Wiseman. If you want to hear a good Slightly Stoopid cd, I suggest The Longest Barrel Ride. This album is mostly silly white rap. If only they didnt have one of the most idiotic band names...how can you take their music seriously? Although this band is popular amongst sublime fans (like myself), I still find the lyrics to be a bit cornball and fluffy at points. (IE: the acoustic album) But still, reggae/ska/punk is just great music (unless you're into mindless hardcore) and i'll take anything along those lines with artistic merit. |
