The weekend of May 27th, 28th, and 29th was one of the best for music I've ever had the fortune of experiencing. In one weekend, for little more than 20 dollars total, I was able to see Buried Inside, Ion Dissonance, Freya, Achilles, Marathon, Burial Year, Bane, the Promise, and the subject of this review and only band I hadn't previously heard, Dead Hearts. In an extremely energetic set sandwiched between Burial Year and Marathon, Dead Hearts impressed mightily with their brand of hardcore.

hey, The Banner's "Each Breath Haunted" kicked ass. Plus shoot myself with what? all I got hand here is a Stapler, and that's not very good with the aiming... hahaha, the banner's good? shoot yourself. the same CAN'T be said. Amazing band. Hardcore at its finest. And to the anonymous who said "I hope ferret starts signing good bands after this..." Ferret has ALWAYS signed good bands. One of their most recent signees The Banner are fuckin' good. Probably the only crap to ever come out of ferret is A Static Lullaby and "Remember To Breathe" was an amazing album. Too bad the same can be said for "Faso Latido". I remeber seeing these guys in Bristol VA/TN at Ireson's pub. There was only about 7 of us, and most of the people left when the Dead Hearts came on.... but god damn, did they still rock out. Derek dedicated the song " Breakdown" to me :) made my day. great band, i hope after this ferret starts signing good bands... best hardcore band right now cliche name for a hardcore band? not really. thats more on the lines of like looking forward, ever since the day or when these days end or something cliche name, but the music makes up for it i guess. seen this band twice in buffalo and the album is amazing. these guys will get somewhere in hardcore that goodbye is sick...........wow some great new hardcore this week....surprising Yeah, How We Are is awesome, but what's that gotta do with this? How We Are is awesome And speaking of really good bands from my area, where is my How We Are review? Will it ever see the light of day on this site? Good stuff. Definitely a step up from the last EP. Took me a long time to find this cd, but it's damn good. Best band in Buffalo these days, by a fucking mile. |
