There's just not the same market for token metalcore releases anymore. From Autumn to Ashes and Poison the Well are likely seeing their popularity wane by the day. And maybe it's for no other reason than the fickle, trend-following public, at no fault of those bands' artistic merit, or lack thereof. In any event, nobody slipped this information onto the desks of anyone at Sold State Records, because I'm reviewing the latest effort from Haste the Day, When Everything Falls.

I am IN love with this band... love this band Good album, its got its bad parts, but it has its good. I don't mind the signing, but I guess its just the opinion of the listener. If you're going into it thinking its a metalcore album, you're not going to like it, if your going into it as a melodic hardcore album, you'll appreciate it, although I have heard better singers, his voice is good. The screaming is insane and some of the best i've heard around. This album is great and I recommended it fully. the best songs the did : LONg way down .. and when u feel emo u listen to : autumn ... frankly they talk bout fucking leave that are leavin a fuckin tree ! .... fuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuckfuck fuckfucking good I didn't like the band at first, but the album is actually really good. This is quite possibly the worst review i've ever read, however he got one thing right, although very good musicians they don't really get time to shine...but then, not every band is Avenged Sevenfold :) I'd just like to make a comment on this reviewers knowledge of what they listened to. The bassist is a very talented singer, but that's not my main issue with this review. My main issue is that the reviewer made harsh comments about the song "Long Way Down." That's fine if you dont like the song, but get the facts straight. This song is a cover of a song done by the Goo Goo Dolls...and the solo that is considered less than mediocre by the reviewer is hit dead on - exactly like the original...take up the beef with the band who wrote it. this review is worse then the one on august burns red. Before I read this review, I knew exactly what it would say. i think these guys sound like As I Lay Dying but with Zao's vocalist Alright, anybody who does not like Haste the Day is a loser. I know everyone has their opinion and preference...and some people are stupid and should not have an opinion...like the jerk-off who wrote the review. This album was done very well other than they are all in the same key, but oh no, end of the world right? To start, how can you diss a christain band? It would take a brass-balled jesus hating nazi to bad mouth a band who gives a christain message. Regardless, the guitar playing is amazing as Jason Barnes is amazing. The vocals are frickin wonderful. I would rate the vocalist 3rd all-time behind Freddy Mercury and Maynard James Keenan. It is not and I quote "a clusterfuck"...f-you! I dislike screaming music with the exception of this band, they in my opinion, are a unique band that I tully love. Sure they are from Carmel...that automatically makes them douche-bags, but the band makes up for it. Stop bad-mouthing, and say something constructive you god damn nazis. By the way, Substance is still the best song by Haste the Day. Any reviewer who puts a band down just because they are not original is an idiot. Why the hell do you think the word "genre" exists? In this case, Haste the Day is screamo/punk metal. How original can so many bands get????????? If your in a band, I bet that non of you fucker will ever get to play your own "original" music. As long as the band does what they do well, I say they are good. Haste the Day are good!!!!! This is one of the best cd's of the year! This guy that reviews it is not opened minded, but he is entitled to his opinion it just so happens that not every likes everything and he just happens to be one of those idiots who doesn't like HTD. Go buy Still Remains -Of Love and Lunacy! ""I take my reviews plenty seriously" Ok, u lil retards. They r the best band i ever heard compared to thrice norma jean and gay crap lik that. U really got to listin to the songs and o well about the lyrics and singing isnt it the sound of the music that counts not the freaking other stuff. Lik god dam the owner is a bitching person :o and really who gives a damn im not even punk and i dont no wat metalcore is etc. But i lik ti anyways so go suck ur dads or moms cock u lil fags and burn in hell bitchs i no a real fan of haste the day >:) -. X-cel was here bitchs if u like haste the day check this out http://www.peta2.com/OUTTHERE/o-hastetheday.asp?c=st52 You guys keep complaining about the singing. Do you not understand that they are a melodic hardcore band? Whenever there is someone that makes something different or something that is popular you morons have to shoot it down every single time. They are one of the best and fastest growing bands in the genre like it or not "but I sure as hell do not go putting any lame ass opinions of them on the web. Also I don't degrade them or their fans." I never heard this but I dont want to. this record sucks because it sucks like the whole metalcore genre sucks Just like clockwork with these kids online. "But this is my entire fault for thinking that this site had some respectable listeners and viewers in the “music community.” That's some astonishing detective work there. This other "Anonymous" poster says "grow the fuck up kids" when he is the one calling people "retards" and stating that others will write "stupid reviews." This site is hysterical. Crappy band from crappy Carmel, Indiana. They were bitches when they were in high school and they are still bitches now Like I said, I apologize for not having heard every song ever recorded, I'll try harder next time. Just for you, though. "I take my reviews plenty seriously" If I were to create a profile on this site, I would have put my interests by what this site is all about. I take my reviews plenty seriously, and I didn't know it wa s a cover, obviously because I haven't heard the original. I haven't heard every song ever recorded, as you must have. You're Name, Sign, Home, and School status, is not considered "Interests." "Hi, my name's Jordan. Let's see.. I'm a virgo, I'm from Syracuse, and I'm a college student! I enjoy long walks on the beach with that someone special, fuzzy sweaters, and the warmth of a good fireplace! Let me know if that sounds interesting, hope to hear from you soon!!" "by the way im seeing them tonight with every time i die, a life once lost, and it dies today. They better not suck." Interest: Bitches, MacGyver, Dr. Dre, Crunk, Sea Shanties, Kicking goth kids in the kneecap, Goldfish crackers. who let this guy put up a review? some decent songs, i just wished that all the singing didn't sound the same. Every hook sounds exactly the same and they use the same formula for every song. There are good parts hear and there. I dont really like it. Outta the thing i only like one song. I was originally going to see them with Every Time I die, It Dies Today, and A Life Once Lost tomorrow but i cant so whatever. by the way im seeing them tonight with every time i die, a life once lost, and it dies today. They better not suck. It's definitely got potential. It could actually be good if they didn't interrupt all their good songs with generic singing choruses. The song structures suck. The screaming is good, though. The title song could have been good but they way overdid the same riff over and over. I disagree with the reviewer about the last song, though-I really like it. Fuck Haste The Day. So boring. Its kinda thin on the rhtyn guitar/bass and cliche, but it really isnt bad overall and has a few good songs. this cd sounds like one looooong crappy song. this record is really well done. i enjoy the more cleaning singing, compared to "Burning Bridges." plus, "Long Way Down" is a Goo-Goo Dolls cover. weird. good review...totally agree...metalcore is so fucking lame...I own the at the gates, in flames, slayer and hatebreed cds and thats all you need to know about metalcore, why listening to the rip offs when the originals are lightyears better Solid album. Saw this band on tour with Stretch Arm Strong headlining a few months ago. All the mosh-for-Jesus types showed up and packed the venue for HTD's set, then vanished into thin air before Stretch even took the stage. i really really wanted to hate this cd, i hated the first one, or at least hated the band when they played st andrews touring on it, but this album blew me away. i thought hte clean singing worked well with it, much better than the as i lay dying album. i still rock the cd from time to time in my car. this and the he is legend cd are the only two listenable cds solid state has put out in the past couple of years, or at least from what i've heard, can't say i listen to a lot of christian cds |
