As much time as I spend on the Internet, browsing webzines, combing the All Music Guide, and drooling at record labels’ vast catalogs, having never even heard of Uphollow came as a shock, and the surprise went even deeper after discovering that they’re really fucking good, sounding identical to no one -- the songwriters in this band appear to have impeccable taste, whereas they’ve been able to mine deeply into the vaults of American music, extracting the best of various times and places, then injecting a flair that’s exclusively theirs.

i was just joking... 'cause that's pretty much the mentality of a lot of people on this board. sometimes the sarcasm gets lost online. anyways, no harm no foul, right? lou, below me... I like them better now than before. Though i liked them before as well. eff you person below me! bands should never change! we are all the same people we were ten years ago! HUH. Yes, they have changed, they are no longer a pop punk band, though they were an excellent one at the time. The new stuff is progressive indie rock. I love Hill Billy Stew. I had an Uphollow album ten years ago. It sounded like Man Dingo and NoFx, but really badly recorded. I guess they changed their sound, huh! |
