AHHH! It's refreshing to pop this in the ol' cd player. It's been a few years since MxPx has put out anything worth buying, but this cd makes up for their recent demise. It is an MxPx comp. of old tracks, seven inches, and demo's. The rawness is what does it for me. I liked this band a lot more when they sounded like they were blowing up a garage than when they're tinkering with the production knobs. Don't worry, "Let it Happen" has plenty of catchy, cotton-candy pop-punk songs (Never Learn, So Kill Me, Circumstance), but it also has MxPx doing what they should be doing alot more of, fast, hard, ranting punk/core songs (lifetime enlightenment, elvis is dead,thoughts and ideas). Sure, the religious stand point is still there, but it's hard to notice, and if you really want my opinion, it's kinda cool to hear a band sing about something other than politics and girls all the time (although every song that isn't about Jesus seems to be about a chick). With their last few albums lacking in basically every good category, this is a great cd to show how good this band can be, outside of the public eye. It also comes with a booklet stocked full of cool photos of shows. So, if you've recently lost a little faith in this band, this cd will give you hope. With over 30 songs, it's by far worth the pick up.

sounds exactly like lifetime except you guys preach undertone christcore messages Hands down one of the best records I've ever bought. This is MxPx at their absolute best. For anyone who has only listened to "Panic" GO GET THIS! "Dude, The Misfits suck." Whatever. People have different opinions about music, that's all. Oh yeah? Well listen up Seņor Potpourri, I just got this CD yesterday to and it completely blows! Nuff said. was ok. i got it as a mild mxpx fan and only kinda liked it. it's so damn annoying to hear the same things over and over again... it's a stereotypically Cali, skate, pop-punk CD. if you like mxpx, it's a must have. if you think they're ok- don't waste your time and money i just got this cd yesterday and it completely blows away all the crap of theirs i'd been listening to. nuff said. i dont really like mxpx at all but this one is worth buying. if they constantly put out shit like this id be a fan. i thought i liked mxpx at first, but now that i think about it, maybe i don't. this was the first cd of theirs i got, and i don't think i ever listened to the whole thing. it just gets boring after the first 10 songs or so. This CD would be a good deal if the thirty songs were by a different band. I agree, I dont really like MxPx, but this is THE best stuff I have heard by them |
