Isn't it good to discover new bands? This is the first record I have ever heard by this group, And I'm certainly pleased to say the least. I dont know a hell of a lot about them but I know its a LOT better than most of the repetitive crap coming out of SoCal these days.

Take the sound of Unwritten Law, circa Blue Room, and throw in some Bad Religion with a more melodic sense and you have Pivit. The record suprised me really. Being stereotypical me, I was expecting your usual pop punk, which many bands are capitalizing on today. Yes, the band has the pop punk element as a lot of SoCal bands do, (or most bands with MTV rotation for that matter) but retains incredible speed, great vocal and lyric ranges in their music.

In the 3 days I have had this album, I have absolutely played the hell out of it. Every song just knocks you on your ass. It sucks because a band this talented just dosen't need to be this underated. I had pretty much given up on most bands coming out of SoCal, But Pivit helped reinstill my faith that there are still great bands down there.

I would really like to find out more about this band, I know they have another album besides this one, and come payday, that fucker's mine. I dont know if they're still together, I know Micah, Pivits' bass player went on to play with Unwritten law in their self titled release, and I know they have opened up for such bands as Bad religion, Homegrown, Pennywise, Strung Out, Unwritten Law and others... But other than that my knowledge of this band is limited. So if you comment on my review give me some info on these guys...I would like to know.

Well, If you havent heard Pivit, hopefully you will check them out. Truly one kick ass release. If you like your punk served up fast and melodic Then this might appeal to you.

    My Score:

This album is pretty good. Their previous album was called "Pressure" and I think it is just as good or better than Mellinium. Their style didn't change too much between these releases. Pressure is a bit hard to find though (outside of SD). They played at the Wiskey a couple months ago, so I guess they're still around. I'd like to see more of them.

    My Score:

Pivit is such an underated band. They are so fuckin good. Millenium is so fuckin good(Pressure is far better)and i was sad to hear that this band had broke up a year ago. But just recently i found out that they got back together and they played their first show in years in California opening for Strung Out. Supposedly they have a new cd coming out soon, but i'm not certain. One way or another they kick ass and if you don't have anything buy these guys, your definitely MISSING OUT.

This is also the first time I have ever seen anything about this band on the net. I found their mp3s online a long time ago after hearing their song "Sour" (which I still think is one of their best and also one of THE best songs I've ever heard) on "the Show" soundtrack. I made tapes of both of their CD's (which I gave to fathead) and have been searching for the CD's in stores ever since. Pivit is one of few bands who deserve a 10 in my book.

I was born in SoCal, and lived there for 14 years of my life...Its always been a punk haven, but fuckin shit...every summer I go back, the upcoming bands are getting worse and worse.

HOLY FUCKING SHITE! I have had this on tape off the net for so long and never been able to find anything, and I mean anything about this band. Their web site has been "coming soon" for over a year now. Anyway, they are down right awesome. they sing a couple of my favorite punk songs ever. I have both their albums on tape (the other one is Pressure) but this is the first time i've even seen the cover art! GOOD GOD, if anyone knows where i can order these two albums, and a Nuclear Saturday cd, please, I beg you, let me know, either here or at jerkface10@hotmail.com. Pivit is soooo good, and I really want their albums on cd.- fathead
