Everyone’s got at least a band or two they love, that nobody ever really talks about. A lot of times the band isn’t even very obscure, but for whatever reason just not brought up in musical conversation. Forstella Ford is one of those bands. But even to this day, there’s really no bands to speak of that sound like them; they weren’t groundbreaking by any means, but their style and execution was always fairly unique, and is one of the most telling reasons why three years later, Quietus sounds just as good as the day of its release.

I love this style of music, trust me. But this guy's singing fucking sucks. Too dillinger 4, but worse. I wish they had stayed with their screaming roots. Just because you CAN sing doesn't mean you should. You and I taught us that. Actually wait, Justin couldn't sing either. Anyhoos, I'm just sayin' that this guy's vocal (singing) delivery makes me sell this album. Like I did. And it felt good. Their older stuff though...weeeeeeow. Great. this band is awesome. Wisconsin really needs more good bands. level plane is a great label, as far as what they do for their bands and their ethics toward punk rock, but i've never been all about any of their bands. my band even played a house show with Hot Cross and LickGoldenSky, and i couldn't get into it. just not my thing i guess. at least the level plane roster ids full of bands with genuine heart. kudos for doin' what you wanna do... This band rules. This record rules. They are one of the best bands to come out of Wisconsin and Whitney is a fucking sick drummer. I personally like their last record a little bit better, but this one is killer. This is band is my shit like I fucking love them and always will way to go Level Plane for putting these guys out there. This record is pretty dope, you're right. I've sort of been on the fence for a while, but now that I think about it, goodness. |
