New England is essentially known all over the country as the mecca for hardcore. Converge, Have Heart, and With Honor are just a few of the multitude of hardcore bands to call the northeast its home at one point or another. Well, add Connecticut’s Palehorse to that list, because their brand new EP Secrets Within Secrets is dropping something fierce.
Cover-ups in a place called Rome, city of gold and holy blood-stained white robes / Corruption fills the halls, a blindfolded public eye / Secrets within secrets, they illuminate the ones behind / Cover-ups in your cities and towns, spit on the cross our nation was found / … / The freemasons the one behind, bleeding treason and promoting lies / Secrets within secrets, your leaders are the ones behind. It’s not often a band like this strays outside the lyrical themes of brotherhood and vengeance, so this is more than a welcome change. There are varied themes explored on the album, all of which stray away from traditional tough guy fare. The members of this band may keep with the traditional, straightforward sounds of the genre, but they do it in the least cliché, most enjoyable way possible. A straightforward hardcore effort with that little bit extra to offer, New England strikes again. Please login or register to post comments. What are the benefits of having a Punknews.org account?
The band got the name from the book of revolatin. Not the William Cooper book Behold a Pale Horse. how would you like me to prove them wrong? give me any statement they make about masons and i'll shoot it down. the lyrics posted above seem to be about the P2 scandal in the Vatican. lots of people like to blame that on the masons because a group of people involved belonged to the Propaganda Due lodge in Italy. they probably don't do the further research to find out that that lodge had been officially expelled from Italian masonry due to extreme misconduct and members using it only for personal monetary gain. it was masonic in name only and severed from all Italian masonry. i can tell you that i know, without a doubt, that there is no shadowy masonic influence behind the world's governments. it's frankly impossible because each country has its own, separate, independent masonic grand lodge. in the united states, its divided further down into state grand lodges. there is no central "hub" or controlling group that could make such a conspiracy possible. chances are, you won't believe me. rather, i think pale horse should be asked to prove their wild statements. there isn't any proof for anything they say, its all speculation mostly based on bad research and quotes/ideas taken out of context. i've spent years studying these things. i know my shit and i will clown any and all of you who want to try and argue about this. I'd like to see this Anonymous posters proof that what PaleHorse has to say is wrong. i was half kidding dude. i judge 95% of bands by their name alone...out of whats left, i judge 4% by name and album art....i only listen to 1% straight off the bat regardless of shitty name/album art visit their website. the symbolism alone is enough to make the assumption that they got their name from that book. combined with the fact that they complain about freemasons in their lyrics and their message board is called "anti-mason society", and you'll see i'm not making any unfair judgements. guy below me reads a book he doesnt like. sees a band with a name that shares one word with the book title (granted a main word) and flips his balls out of control, admitting he has never even heard the band....and complains about conspiracy theories and crazies...dude below me is obviously a crazy fuck this band and their bullshit. Yikes, not a fan. palehorse isnt something ensign came up with or made famous. plenty of books have used "palehorse" as pretty important parts to their title. i think it has something to do with death. but that aside, they could be after the ensign song...just sayin Nope! Apparentley there's a book or something. no mention of Integrity/Ringworm? i dont listen to palehorse cause they are bigger pussies than onion flavored rings Band is getting big time hype around Boston and New England | Features
