Angel Eyes came up just a little bit short, but not in the way most people would probably assume. It’s not in the quality of the album that the shortcoming took place, more when it was released. I wasn’t able to actually hear this record until the beginning of this week, and it’s quite a shame, because this would have otherwise made a real impact in my top 20, possibly even creeping into one of the top five spots.

Repeat after me: This Is Your New Favorite Band "something to do with death" has got to be one of the greatest titles ever. if they meant it the way i'm reading it, it's an excellent way to say 'fuck you' to all the bullet for my valentine type bands who only ever write songs about killing their girlfriends. Kids really starting to need to listen to isis and some post rock i don't know about this, as a friend used to say "songs longer than 5 minutes are rock operas. if you aren't queen you shouldn't be attempting rock operas" I'm really digging thins. The intro on the sample track sounds like something Ennio Morricone (he did the music for Sergio Leone's westerns) would write, but I'm probably getting that from the aesthetics of the band's website as much as the song itself. It's mad interesting though, I'ma check it out. Sounds like the kinda thing i'd like I dont know though no fucking way this shit deserves a 9. if your gonna make a 13 minute song, it better be equally good or better than Meatloaf's "bat out of hell" or I'm not listening. This is one of those albums that I got sent to me, that I'd have never heard otherwise. Never heard of the band, or the label before listening to this. Hey Trav, can't it be both? can't get myself to do it ... oops fuck realplayer, i want to listen to this but i can't myself do it. Yo where'd you find this Anchors? I meant with this specific band, not music or bands like this in general. I proofread, but shit slips through sometimes. Deal. They know that there’s not a lot of music that does involve screaming, so while it’s going, it had better be making people listen., >After a five minute-long intro track, each of the following three songs are, at minimum, thirteen minutes long Yeah my ADD can't seem to flow with stuff like this either. I've been looking for this album for so fucking god damn long and have had no luck. my ADD and this type of music clash. |
