okay fine... this cd is f-ing awesome. but i wish that i was their only fan. a true blue 100% rk nerd geek. a true #1 because i am the most obsessed fan on the frigging universe! listen to each of their cds one a day (only the 4 main ones) and on weekends? twice each. i swear to f-ing god.i memorized all 5 parts of each song soo they are branded into my brain. u have no clue how obsessed i am. i owe my life to them... i swear. until i heard of them... i was ready to commit suicide. the changed changed my liufe. i swear. i o my life to rk. no one will ever know how much i thank them for what they did cuz they are so cool and they said all that matters too them is that they affect someone's life in some way and i am that person. thank you so much matt... i love you. :'-)

i used to be the most f*c*ed up relient k fan on earth. i was way too obsessed w/ them. now, i hate them(as of 5 minutes ago) because they are now popular and becoming major kiss-asses. HANDLE THE TRUTH! they are hypnotizing you. rk smells like my brother after track practice...The STINK!

This album brings back memories of there older albums (anatomy of the tounge and cheek and Two lefts don't make a right...but 3 do)I love relient k because they are a christian influenced band!

How did you come to the conclusion that it was more progressive? P.S. I'm not an athiest.

Also, etymologically speaking, to be a Christian means you are a follower of Christ. Christianity is the name for the religion. There are plenty of Christians who can't stand organized religion. Like me, for the most part.

Also, are we actually arguing about this like "what punk is" matters? Do I care if I'm punk? I'll be "punk" if it coincides with who I am, but I'm not going to change who I am to try to be "punk".

I'll give it to these guys, that single they had out was nifty. When most pop-punk bands are going over the top, they used a good deal of subtlety that made the song stand out.

this band is probably the best in the genre right now. seriously. this ep isn't too hot, though.

and yeah, they used to be a really hokey band. really bad. but the last 2 full lengths have been very good.

By that logic, Ian MacKaye, among many people in the punk scene, is obviously not a punk.

Rebelling against punk is the most punk thing you can do, however — the essence of punk is rebellion. Thus anything within punk that is more "status quo" than rebellion is arguably not punk at all.

Also: if rebelling agaisnt Christianity makes you not a Christian, what does that make anyone of a denomination that isn't Catholicisim? The history of Christianity is rife with rebellions, schisms, factions and what have you. Just so you know.

hey RKL i used to make that same argument for MxPx back in the day. i was never a fan (or that much of a christian) but i always thought that the most punk thing about them was the fact that they believed in what they belived in despite the rules that the rest of the scene had provided for them.

Oh, and about the whole Christian thing: while being anti-religion has become a HUGE cliche in punk rock, it makes sense. Everyone has their own definition of what makes "punk rock", but most people would agree it has something to do with rebellion. What does listening to every fucking thing that your parents, your pastor, and your teachers have told you have to do with rebellion?

I like the fact that they are Christian, however the music is not the best. I have tried to get into it, and haven't been able to yet.

This band, and, for that matter, the entire concept of "pop-punk" is what's being shoved down your throat. By applying sweet voices, cutesy lyrics, pop hooks, and arena-rock production, "the mainstream" is making what was once a real alternative music into "alternative music."

definately one of the best pop punk bands out right now.

that said, this ep is not the place to start listening. go back to mmhmm, or 2 lefts.

the last two songs on this are the best.

these guys are pretty damn pussy and lame, but i really liked that 'who i am hates who i've been' song. and their live show is spot on, very good live.

This band really has grown a lot since their early stuff.

Hence, they get a two, instead of a one.

I'm not against them because they're Christian or because they're pop-punk. However, I am against them because they're absolutely terrible.

My roommate listens to this shit. I don't like him and I don't like Reliant K

i like the story chinatown use to post more.
