It’s not every day a compilation comes along that’s able to properly represent the state of hardcore today as well as offer a hint of what brought it to this point. Revelation Records’ very own Generations: A Hardcore Compilation, however, does just that. It puts the spotlight on lesser known acts (Lion of Judah) and throws them in with seasoned "vets" (Mental).

"The labels putting out the goods today are Six Weeks, Prank, Havoc (of course) and 625. Get with the fucking program." so is the band robot whales a reference to the band into another? if so that fucking rules. when i saw the cover it made me remember a hardcore tape i had 13/14 years ago. that tape i listened to every day.....and guess what , i still have it. thanks ray of today! oh , and ive never been straight edge. No mention of Fucked Up or Mind Eraser, probably the two best bands on this complation (and in hardcore, in general)? For shame. The Blacklisted and RJ's songs rip Yeah, but it's pretty easy to argue that those labels have more to do with the hardcore underground and punk in general. Not to say Rev doesn't put out hardcore music- they just don't put out enough hardcore anymore to justify being a "hardcore" lable. 'The labels putting out the goods today are Six Weeks, Prank, Havoc (of course) and 625. Get with the fucking program' You think revelation has ANYTHING to do with hardcore anymore? Dude, I vomited at your first sentence. You think revelation has ANYTHING to do with hardcore anymore? The labels putting out the goods today are Six Weeks, Prank, Havoc (of course) and 625. Get with the fucking program. Best track on here is Blacklisted. best comp to come around in a while. |
