The folk-punk movement has been coming to a boil in the United States for a number of years. With the recent explosion in Against Me!’s popularity and the signing of two of the scene’s better-known bands (This Bike Is a Pipe Bomb and Defiance, Ohio) to No Idea Records, it looks as though things are only going to get better for the group of musicians who have managed to become standout characters in the music.

two of the best folk/punk bands out there. i dont care what anyone else says That's the kind of hype that turns people off to this music and scene. anything punk ever had, anything punk ever ment , anything punk would ever be all falls into the mighty motherfucking GHOST MICE. fuck all nay sayers... "Slingshots" is probably one of my favorite folk-punk songs ever, and I play it on my folk-punk radio show all the damn time. "signed" to No Idea... "Want me to put out your record?" "Cool." I saw Ghost Mice at a house show and thought they were pretty good. Needed some electricity, though. muwahaha I liked the Ghost Mice/ Defiance, Ohio split better than this. good stuff Ghost Mice is awful. Terrible song wrting and cliched lyrics. "probably" your favorite song of 2005. that convinces me to buy this cd! This Bike Is A Pipe Bomb and Defiance, Ohio aren't signed to No Idea Records. They just released albums on there... no contracts dude. Great cd for fans of Ghost Mice or other PIX bands. I'm a Defiance, Ohio fan so I also like the Pretty Hot tracks as well. i've got an old pretty hot! demo and i like that... kinda like old against me! with female vocals. it's good stuff. God loves you all.....but hates these bands. Pretty Hot were pretty bad (LOL), but Ghost Mice have some good tracks on here. i don't know about all of you |
