On their second full-length, Pessimism & Satire, Logan Square seem to have their hearts in the right place and their fingers on the right chords, making for a pretty smooth melodic rock album -- but nothing more.

Still, though, the album is worth a good listen or two. There are a few retreads from their first album, but most are better. Is this how you feel (the song, not the album) is arranged better, and Misdirection seems less sloppy, which could be a good or bad thing, depending on how you see it. Anyways, go out and buy the album. If you don't like it you could give it to your little sister, she'll probably love it. They are from Chicago, or, more specifically, Geneva and Aurora and the like. None of them are from logan Square though. It's just a (not so) clever name. There's a Logan Square in Chicago, too. where are these nerds from? logan square or circle if you like is in philadlephia. please tell me these children aren't from there. good review man. i clicked on this just to see what the band got, and read a few sentences. ended up reading the whole thing. nicely done. Why does fearless keep fucking lil boys like wacko jacko and ur fucking dirty moms? they used to be known as "15 minutes late" I never really listened to the two songs on the one sampler I got, but I migth have to check them out because of the cover art. It really draws you in. |
