It's difficult to think of a time when honest, compelling working-class music has been needed more than right now. In a country ravaged by layoffs, outsourcing and unchecked corporate malfeasance, someone needs to stick up for the serfs who toil for diminishing wages in an age of inflation, the work-hardened proletariats whose blood and sweat lubricates the thankless machinery of capitalism. Enter the Killigans, a seven-piece, Celtic-influenced folk-punk band that is here to let you know you're not alone in your struggles.

i didn't mean cool as in "cool". i meant cool in a way that makes my ears happy. this poop makes my ears hurt by how utterly lame it is. oh no a band isn't cool heaven forbid, if I'm going to listen to some celtic music I'd prefer celtic jazz but if bag pipes or a tin whistle don't move your soul, you don't have one. dropkick murphys were never cool. flogging molly was never cool. and i'm pretty sure this band will never be cool. this kind of music makes me want to lock myself in a tiny room and fart until i die from the methane intake. I HATE Celtic punk. Oh, how much I hate it. Just put down the fucking tin whistle, and everyone can go about their normal lives. the killingtons? | Features
