For On a Warpath’s self-titled Hand of Hope release, I’ve decided to let the lyrics for the spoken-word interludes do the talking for me. I typed them up myself, so they might not be verbatim...

  • “Intro:” “What the fuck’s up. On a Warpath back again. Still rolling with the motherfucking punches.
  • “Knuckle Up:” “In this motherfucking life, all that fucking matters to me is my boys and my motherfucking crew. Suicide crew. Burning that shit, motherfuckers.
  • “One by One:” “I look around. I see all you fucking cowards standing around me. You ain’t got no fucking heart. No fucking courage. You’re just a fucking bitch. Living in a fucked up world.
  • “Lying Face Down:” "Fucking blood sweat and tears, motherfuckers. Throughout all these years. I put in a lot of motherfucking work and now you all betray me? Fuck you and fuck what you stand for.
That’s probably all you’ll need to determine whether or not you’ll want to listen to On a Warpath, but if it's not, the album is comprised of 9 tracks of straight-forward, angry, beatdown hardcore. Who would have guessed?

I'm still waiting for the threats from members/friends of the band. Followed of course by some homo-phobic/erotic comments and the phrase "You shouldn't review things you don't like".

    SlowStupidHungry (July 12, 2006)

I'm still waiting for the obligatory spelling and grammar-error riddled post about how "nun of u motherfuxkerz wuld be sayin this 2 there face"

I want to see all of these fucking retard bro-down guys cover "Whoomp! There it Is!" by Tag Team, 'cause seriously, they are about as ridiculous.

P.S. the guy in the Madball basketball jersey at the show yesterday was running around the basement farting and taking pictures of his own cock with someone elses digital camera. Then he was dancing around doing that stupid two-step thing and swinging his fists around like a fucking asstard. Sometimes.....I wish I got to decide who lives and dies. Seriously.

great review, but yeah, why two stars?

Ahh, thug-core. Truly the greatest sub-genre of gangsta rap.

    rkl (July 11, 2006)

    so its blood for blood?

    Inspection12e (July 11, 2006)

hahaha that was great. I sometimes wonder how these bands can take them selves seriously but I quickly snap out of it and get back to doing more important things like picking my nose.

    SlowStupidHungry (July 11, 2006)

How on Earth could this get 4 points?!

I'm getting a real early Cure vibe from this record. Wait no this sounds like it is garbage but all you bums bad mouthing hardcore come down to blah blah blah and I'll beat you down blah blah blah.

....and STILL, Infest would fucking kill all of these assholes in a split second, yet be really nice guys to everyone else on the planet. Listen up, moshtards: 18 years later and Infest still kills all other hardcore bands, without any bullshit posing.

    miniblindbandit (July 11, 2006)
