Pivit is a band I've just recently discovered....and after hearing their '98 release Millennium I was on a mad search for about a month for this record.

Having waited so long for this record on special order, the anticipation was building. I was really hoping this was going to live up to Millennium.

And oh yes, it lived up to my expectations. This is absolutely awesome. You can never go wrong with some good melodic skate punk. This album features a similar style as in Millennium but way more melodic, better structured songs and better guitar work.

The sound..(and I've said this before) calls to the early Unwritten Law sound, with some Bad Religion thrown in. But despite all that they have their own edge, which makes them unmistakeable. And takes me back to my days in Southern California.

Pivit has become one of my favorite bands, and for good reason; one listen to this and you'll know right away. I've also heard recent rumors they've gotten back together, so that's even better. I really hope this and Millennium aren't the last testaments of this awesome band.

    My Score:

That's kinda've funny that this cd is out of print. I found at a local record store in the $.50 section. I remembered liking one of their songs way back when. I figured 50 cents can't go wrong. I was glad i picked it up defentialy a good album. Just have to be in the mood to hear it.

    My Score:

ya, the songs on this album are good, but it sounds like shit. I have bootlegs of Pennywise that sound better. If you think this album is rare or out of print, you are correct. The indy record store in their town doesn't even have it anymore.

    My Score:

This CD is a classic for anyone who enjoys punk. Millenium was kinda iffy.. but they were trying out a new style guitars, drums, the worx. They recorded a new album in Nov. 2000, but.. didn't finish mastering it. Lots of issues with their label: Red Eye as well. At their shows they keep saying a new albumn is coming out as they play new stuff, but its weird.. They smoke pot too much!!

    My Score:

i too searched this band out big time. i finally got this disk(after having it on tape forever) and I was kinda let down. All the songs are great, but the drums are way to loud. you can barely distinguish the guitar changes. it's a shame such awesome songs like WDIWTS, Pressure, and Army Man ar held back by poor production and mixing.- fathead
