Anyone with a remote interest in Long Island hardcore can take one look at Take My Chances' pedigree (the Backup Plan, Heads vs. Breakers, This Is Hell, but namely the former 2), and know exactly what they're in for: heavily Lifetime and Kid Dynamite-influenced melodic hardcore. The band's first full-length is Down Here with Us, and is incredibly well-versed in that area.

I Love this album, the only thing that bothers me is that what punk rock is all the same nowdays. Take My Chances sounds to much like Lifetime but is that a bad thing ? havent heard them yet, but the backup plan were pretty good So why did Heads vs Breakers call it quits? That band was better than the rest of the new projects combined... these guys are fucking awesome these guys are fucking awesome Not feeling the recordings or the band's performance at the KD reunion at CB's. | Features
