Prior to the release of Outlive, Guns Up! had always fallen into the ever growing contingent of bands that are solid live, and extremely “eh” on record. There’s only so many breakdowns and similar sounding songs one can take before wanting to find anything else to listen to, but thankfully, the band has, if nothing else, at least attempted to rectify this situation.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNGGG Not saying anything or not saying anything to you? I think the lyrics are of a personal nature, not so much focused on social topics that other people can really relate to. A stream of consciousness type thing. I don't dig the lyrics, I mean, dude's a good writer and all, it's just that he's not saying anything. For the guy who said 'Score is for song titles like "Not Just Heavy, Beasts Of America Heavy"' It's obvious that you've downloaded the album, because that's not a real songname, but the fake tracklisting that the band put on their MySpace Guns Up! and thugcore do not belong in the same sentence. Paragraph, for that matter. Always with the thug-core. I havent given this a legit listen. but from what ive heard its ok. its solid but its not gonna turn any heads. Score is for song titles like "Not Just Heavy, Beasts Of America Heavy" because this band and blacklisted are definitely youth crew bands...... Be ironic and contrary... but at least know what you are talking about Not really as good as All This Is, but Outlive is the best G!'s Up song period. Solid NYHC. the EP was fair. but yeah. all the bandwagoners who made the transition from metalcore to youth crew are jumping on this band's and Blacklisted's dicks. overrated. meh, i think this album sucks and brings nothing to the table reviewed by anchors. !!!! | Features
