Roger Miret (Agnostic Front) and crew are back in action with the Disasters' third album, My Riot. The band left their former label, Hellcat Records, earlier this year and has arrived back on the map via Sailor’s Grave Records with a great mid-tempo punky rock and roll album.

great album Good CD. The first record was seriously good...not sure about the rest. I think it's funny all the good bands are leaving Hellcat though. Roger Miret = audible dry heaving. I seriously have never heard worse vocals in my life than on that "My Riot" song. It sounds Corky from Life Goes On if he was deaf. Apparently kids will buy anything on these lousy cookie cutter streetpunk labels. Sailors Grave Records is a SINKING ship. i honestly believe agnostic front is the most overrated of all of the 80s hardcore bands...victim in pain and the eliminator are good songs, but everything these guys have done collectively or indiviually since 85 has been very mediocre...and their "classic" stuff is just all right, in my opinion... I want this. How are you gunna call Roget Miret lame...The dude is the lead singer of Agnostic Front, WTF have you done.. score is for them touring with nfg and gc on the honda civic tour. i hold long grudges. score is for them touring with nfg and gc on the honda civic tour. i hold long grudges. I really like this record. was never into roger's things, but this record really sounds good. mostly the F** song... :-) Rancid-core...now a legitimate sub-genre I haven't really listened to much of this, but "Ramones" is an awesome song. it' a side project. Guest vocals should be welcomed by fans. Pretty decent review. However, I would've said Kim Nekroman from the Nekromantix... I am sure that many more people know him from his main band, and not from his guitar duties in the psychobilly-lite band that his wife fronts. and he did NOT sound like that on the first Disasters album Sounds like a pretty fun album, but Roger Miret's vocals remind me of Fred Durst and Cookie Monster i dont know. I haven't heard this CD yet and plan to check it out. But I'm not a fan of guest spots on CD's. I'd rather hear the band do it themselves then have a famous guy sing one or two lines that can't be replicated live. |
