If there’s one thing the world needed, it was another mosh metal band.

Would this band be great for my football warmups? I got ya....my favorite VFW memory is the battle of the bands that they used to have in Fargo. Only, it was called the Battle of the Hamms and the entrance fee was a 30 rack of Hamms beer. The winner got all the beer and then got to share it with everyone. Good times... Oh I love VFW shows. However plenty of Long Island VFW shows tend to be populated with bands likely influenced by this one / their peers. It is "Alove" for some reason, but I think it's still pronounced "A Love" (I guess just faster). Sure it's not, "A Love for Enemies"? Because why would any band ever have "Alove" in the name? Also, who wants to start the perpetual "Christian Band" debate with me? Hey, man...don't hate on the VeeFer. I have seen a ton of great shows at my local VFW in college and it was always a great time. It was one of the few all ages venues in town and once I turned 21 I got to go upstairs and drink $1.50 PBR Pints and listen to war stories. Great damn times. Besides local shows, I have seen A Whilhelm Scream, Cirlce Takes the Square, the Gamits, and a bunch of other great bands at the VFW. Aloe for Enemies: Moisturizer moshcore coming to a VFW near you. |
