Ozma is a fresh band that seems to have some of the best sounds out there. Sounding somewhat like Weezer they mix it up with some sweet ass melody. The songs are very easy to sing with and lyrics are layed out very well within the melody. Im tired of the bands that are so dis-organized when it comes to playing music. This band just happens to show all, that the beat does in fact matter. This is the kind of music you listen to with your girlfriend, or at a party hanging out with your many friends.

This album goes above and beyond with some of the best songs out there. The songs worth mentioning on this record are, "The ups and downs," which showcase the rockin melodies. The second one that brings out the best of this cd is, "Baseball." This is actually my favorite song. It starts out with a fairly slow beat, and then proceeds to blow your ass away with the guitar, drums, ect.

With such a different sound, and meaningful vocals this band and record will soon be recognized. This release is nothing short of a must have.

Cant agree more Jimi but what i meant and i do believe i posted this on the actual dogwoog review is that the way the bass guitar sounds so deep and heavy is similar not the actual singing or songwriting or even the guitar. but yea i agree i made a mistake and what can i say ill do better next time

Hey ROCK, that's because you said Dogwood sounds like the Alkaline Trio, which they do not....alkaline trio writes better songs in their sleep.... If you compared Dogwood to a band they actually sounded like, it would make a little more sense...Ozma sounds just like Weezer...Rufio sounds just like NFG....Dogwood sounds like jesus christ

Come on... I really really like Ozma, but 5 stars? Please... Be realistic, not everything deserves 5 stars just because it's good

IF you read my Dogwood review the last time I said a band sounds like another people bitched hardcore but the fact is it does sound like weezer and they pull it off big!

I like this album a lot...but you said they sound "a little like weezer?" I thought it WAS weezer....this band sniffs rivers underwear for inspiration.....the best weezer ripoff band around...
