Comparisons to Bob Dylan are certainly a dime a dozen today when describing folk singers. Langhorne Slim is no different. He's Jewish, from New York (Brooklyn to be exact) and wears an assload of plaid. Not to mention he plays a mean guitar and and an even meaner harmonica.
This could count against many up-and-coming troubadours. However, Langhorne uses it to his distinct advantage. He seems to embrace his "Jewish cowboy" image.

What's with dropping the jewish thing twice in the first paragraph ... is that even relevant? Langhorne pretty much always steals the show. I'm really curious to see where he lands now that V2 folded. Labels are slipping for not signing him the minute the V2 shit was announced. this cd is amazing i listen to it while drivingall the time seen these guys twice. Doesn't every man remind you of Ted Danson, at least a little bit? Its bullshit how every single singer-songwriter is compared to Bob Dylan, its just like saying that the guy is a man so he reminds me of Ted Danson I prefer Slim Picken's to this but any Langhorne is good enough. | Features
