Back in February or so I caught a rumor that NOFX would be playing in Seoul, South Korea, where I'm currently working. I was cautiously optimistic about it though, because Korea's punk scene seems as though it is passed over by established bands in favor of Japan. When I finally received an official announcement from NOFX several weeks later that a Seoul date would be included as part of their "Pacific Rim Job" tour, I was absolutely stoked.
Here are some pictures from the show: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I was at the show. It sucked balls. Between songs they were one of the most unlikeable bands I've ever heard. Yes, I know it's funny that Asian people talk differently than us. Get over it. And yes, we know our punk scene is small and not very commercially successful. That's what I love about it. Sorry dude, but how can you give this five stars when they have to stop some of their songs halfway through because they fuck up so badly? Just because they make a habit of being sloppy doesn't make it endearing. Didn't you read his second post? He's manic-depressive, he can't help it. Wow, what is up with that fool's comment harassing the reviewer? - knifetrader: They haven't done the "10 songs in 6 minutes" thing in a few years There lucky Cho Seung-Hui was in virginia and not at this show. a good review but, wow, those pictures were bad. I thought it was a good review. Inclusion of pics was nice, too. shit 250 people...man i'd LOVE to see nofx in such a SMALL venue...awesome! I know it's not [popular but I love "Can't Get the Stink Out"...that's awesome they played it. I love "My Name Is Bud" off that album as well. Bipolar disorder is no laughing matter. And let me tell you this Mr. One-And-A-Half Stars, you will never know what it's like to be in Korea at all because this cock-biter-offer is a terrible writer. End transmission! Score's for the irrationally angry post a few down. By the way YOU write I'm going to go ahead and assume that you're on a whole lot of meds to control your bipolar disorder. gotta have respect for nofx for doing these tours. new herb was probably "now what herb?" from the 7" of the month series. Good review, sounds like it was a cool show. NOFX are ace. They need to play Scotland some time, or if they could play Miami over the summer, that would be aaace! what the hell is going on in the last comment This is the worst review I've ever read. I can tell that you have terrible taste in music and that you probably have a small penis. Judging by your writing style I can tell that you probably spent your weekends sitting in your room with your hood up writing stupid papers while your totally awesome friends were in the living room playing video games and making hilarious comments about various social events. Also, I'm pretty sure that those are not even real song titles so I wish you would stop wasting everyones time. If you saw this show in Korea, perhaps you should stay there because everyone here is much better off without you around. JERK! There lucky Cho Seung-Hui was in virginia and not at this show. Boo this band! Weird...those were put up as I was commenting. Thanks. Anonymous - No idea what Bad Religion song it was. I've really tried, but I could never get into that band. Great review....that's really cool you're working in Seoul. No "don't call me white"? And no 10 Songs in 6minutes-thing... it was probably a punked up version of scavenger type, which they have played before. one of the greatest and most memorable live bands (even if they're too fucked up to remember it) and, obviously, one of the greatest (if not the greatest) punk bands around. scavenger type. hmm. don't know how that song would go over live. its cool that the band is making an effort to play these locations which most bands seem to skip. Now if only NoFx would do a proper North American tour, sure would be nice to see the band for longer then 30 min. Good for them. I've seen the band a pretty good number of times and never do I recall them playing that many songs. But then again they probably don't get out their much. Any idea what BR song it was? Probably "We're Only Gonna Die" I'm guessing. pretty good except for putting Can't Get the Stink Out and See Her Pee near the end. two nofx songs that don't do anything for me. |
