I've liked these guys since i first heard 'screaming infidelities'... I love Dashboard Confesssional! I think Chris is a model for all other bands who want to play acoustic. I loved his release from Drive Thru Records and I couln't wait for this CD to come out. It is a totally awesome CD (especially if you consider the fact that it was released only 6 months after his first release). I can't really pick our my favorite song, as they are all great. I really like the sound of The Good Fight. The remakes of Screaming Infidelities and Again I Go Unnoticed are truely amazing. I never thought a bass and drums could add so much. If you like acoustic music I highly recommend this CD, along with The New Amsterdams, Kevin Devine, and the acoustic stuff by Saves the Day. I find Dashboard Confessional a nice change in pace, but still keeping in stride with the pop revival. The songs are well thought out and the lyrics come across. Mind you, I wouldn't ever play this album except that I have a girlfriend... |
