Many underground music enthusiasts would likely link the early material of Brooklyn, NY's Dear Tonight to that of a "Level-Plane sound" -- that is, the raw, chaotic screamo that landmark record label is widely known for putting out. Perhaps fed up with the pigeonholing, the band's first full-length shows a remarkable change that subsequently dodges all easy categorizing.

Jesus christ - these screamo/indie record covers are interchangeable. Take a fuzzy or off-kilter photo of a landscape or old building and then write your band's subordinate clause of a name across the photo in crisp white text. The only other genre to use such a blatant formula for its record covers is crust, which gets more mileage out of warzone victim photos than Time Magazine. is it weird that these guys remind me of bane? Posted by onegirlarmy on 2007-07-03 17:35:53 i have a hard time believing these guys used to be raw chaotic screamo. the songso n the myspace suck so bad no review for the leaked Against Me! album? no review for the leaked Against Me! album? stoked to see this record come out. got a copy and pretty into it. unique shit. drumming is a bit lacking though. this is pretty good stuff. unfortunately they have a terribly generic name. sounds like some vagrant / FBR poppy mall-emo band. but the stuff i've heard is awesome. Everyone should check this band and this record out. pietasters? thats all i know | Features
