Soul Control / I RiseSplit [7 inch] (2007)Eightfold Path Reviewer Rating: Contributed by: Brian (others by this writer | submit your own) Published on July 24th 2007
Soul Control and I Rise are two of New England's most promising new hardcore bands around, and this unifying split further cements their associations. Luckily, despite a perhaps somewhat obvious 108 influence on both, they're two plenty different bands.

I'm not as much into I Rise as I am Soul Control, but both sides of this split are killer. If you're into Burn, Quicksand and the post-hardcore type stuff from the '90s and haven't heard Soul Control yet, you need to do yourself a favour and check it out. They're blowin' up now. Four year strong!!! I saw both bands this past week, and their recordings really don't do them any justice. both bands are backed hard | Features
