For all the sleeve-wearing they do of their influences, This Will Destroy You have done a stunning job on their first release, Young Mountain, of entrancing the listener with gripping, emotional instrumental compositions. In an ever-crowding subgenre, This Will Destroy You have crafted an effort as forthright, captivating and enjoyable as nearly any of their peers or predecessors.

it's a good ep. good shit Saw these dudes open for Fear Before the March Of Flames and they floored me. Picked up this EP on vinyl that night but haven't had a chance to spin it yet. If it's half as good as their live show, though, I'll be stoked. can i just say again that all the other reviewers should follow brian's example and, when available, provide links to songs. cheers dude. they've always sounded a biiiiiit too "Explosions In The Sky but not quite as good," but that doesn't change the fact that this is a ridiculously good EP. I'm guessing the full length will be even better, I'm just hoping they add a bit more originality to the mix. This is a really great ep but I got bored of it quite fast. i have a feeling that this band's full-length record will be MONSTROUS good ep. | Features
