Of all the great albums released this year so far, this is the one that surprised and grabbed me the most. This is the first full release I’ve heard from these guys and they remind me of many of my favourite bands, but at the same time not sounding exactly like any other band. Think powerful, no bullshit punk rock with a heavy Leatherface/Jawbreaker influence, especially vocal-wise. The melodies and harmonies are so spot-on that it really is the perfect fast-paced summer record everyone hunts for each summer.

Makes punk sound like a dangerous art form again without pretension. Just really creative and honest aggression. StevePerry, i have nothing to do with punknews, they edited the shit out of my review, you make me sound like a staff member, i consider eight to be a good score, thats all The way you describe the album makes it sound flawless, yet you still only give it an eight... Is there something you didn't like or are you afraid to give an album a nine or ten? Oh no wait... punknews.org don't like reviews that don't give an eight I've been waiting for this review for awhile. Great record, "Fat of the Land" is the jam of the year. The Arrivals had been playing alot of these songs for 3 or 4 years before releasing this record and it was long worth the wait. I have a man crush on Isaac. Love the arrivals! I was so happy the day I finally got my hands on this album at that record release show, four years was far too long of a wait for a new Arrivals album. Especially since they were playing most of these songs at their shows once Paddy joined the band which I think was a good year before this album came out. Thsi band reminds me of drinking a beer. good band, releasing rather good records. Blew my Fucking head off!!! thanks for this review, this album is great. This band is awesome...great great stuff. Reminds me of Hot Water Music meet Screeching Weasel. Great rock n' roll record! |
