Last of the Believers consist of Chris Chasse of Reach the Sky and Rise Against fame, Brett Rasmussen of Ignite fame, drummer Phillip Lee, and Nik Pitcitello and Steve Jennings formerly of Spark of Life (a short-lived hardcore act on Good Riddence and Only Crime’s Russ Rankin’s label, Lorelei Records).

Man, I thought this EP was terrible. I have "Dissent" "Throwing Matches" and "Fists Up!". this is some awesome melodic hardcore!!! pretty good. i'm huge fan of melodic hardcore, so i'm biased, but this stuff isn't that bad. "Dissent" is my favorite. I think this a great EP and cant wait to see what comes out of the LOTB stables next word below. i almost threw up when i saw that. Wow.. great cd.. Gives me a little bit of faith in music again.. After seeing Rise Against's latest video, this makes me feel a lot better. "Sounds like any other band".. Pretty wide spectrum there.. Maybe sounds like some bands... def not every one in the world though..Moron. heard it all before-sounds like any other band I'm sorry, I guess they have to give this a bad score just because they've been giving too many high scoring reviews. It could never be that they usually review the stuff they like. Who the fuck wants to review something that blows? I'm sorry, I guess they have to give this a bad score just because they've been giving too many high scoring reviews. It could never be that they usually review the stuff they like. Who the fuck wants to review something that blows? So good.. Can't wait for a tour/full length.. Just got in the mail yesterday.. only $8 on their myspace including shipping.. solid fuckin CD.. this stuff is killer. its not EX-ignite.. brett is still in ignite.. hey glasspipe, last time i checked they had the whole thing streaming on their purevolume, try to check it out if you wanna know whether to get it. i personally love it I enjoy this quite a bit. Repetition in reviews are really starting to irk me. Maybe I'm the only one it bothers, but it happens frequently in almost every music review i read. whattya know, another 4 star score from punknews. Kind of a schizophrenic EP. The chorus of one of these songs makes Ignite sound like Cro-Mags, but then there's that "Bridge 9 dude" song you describe. And a bunch of standard melodic hardcore in between. |
