Chalk it up to Cloak/Dagger being supported by a palette of incredibly similar influences (early `80s American hardcore, Hot Snakes, garage recordings), but Christ if their Pinata 7" of last year didn't sound awfully like the Bronx. We Are re-introduces the band proudly, as the supergroup traces a smoother line to those details of their sound, eschewing that aforementioned comparison and establishing a clear picture that's all their own.

I really dug the pinata 7" and I even purchased the pinata breaks demo takes ep from itunes despite the fact that I prefer to actually hold a cd or record in my hand when i buy it. That's what I was thinking, feeding. Listening to this right now for the first time. It's not bad, I haven't found a new favourite band or anything but this is definitely worth a listen. quit your job! Fuck Best Buy. Their website said we'd be carrying them, so I go in to work yesterday thinking "Awesome, I can play some C/D in the back while I price the truck." "Fuck that" Best Buy said to me with a middle finger shoved in my face. Whatever, I'll pick this up at Reckless. Wait....it has people from AN/GUTG? So does "We Are" really mean, "(We Are)"? this album artwork is really really shoddy. foiiiist. |
