Having flicked through Enemy Alliance's demos once to great indifference and never having heard of the Indecision Alarm, I wasn't expecting much of this split. Still, as an avid Satanics fan, I decided that this was worth a go. Now, it's been a long time since I have been excited by anyone doing the fast, melodic punk/hardcore thing-- without being snooty, there's only so many years one can take of that infamous double-time beat before losing interest.

against me and herb alpert should do a split called the new wave and the second wind Honestly, I've only listened to the IA side once, I'll give it a few more spins and see how I really feel about it. will BE incredible. Thom, I love Rodrigo. Listen to his backing in "Vultures", and remember his excellent work with Intensity. If Enemy Alliance can incorporate more of his angry-type vocals into future tracks alongside Flygare's, I am convinced the results will incredible. I found Enemy Alliance's side pretty boring after a few listens.. Each track sounds the same and it's so similar sounding to Satanic Surfers just with much beefier vocals, which sound like a pissed off hardcore voice (with european accent) - rodrigo's vocals in the surfers varied, which made it more exciting and the songs didn't sound so similar.. I too liked the Indecision Alarm's EP. I might have to track this down. Solid release right here. I really dig the Enemy Alliance side of this and The Indecision Alarm side is decent as well. Pretty excited to hear this. Satanic Surfers' last full-length was pretty decent and the Indecision Alarm EP rules. |
