WireRead & Burn 03 (2007)Pink Flag Reviewer Rating: Contributed by: Jelone (others by this writer | submit your own) Published on November 13th 2007
A quick overview: Wire is one of the most important punk bands of all time, exploring ethereal boundaries, providing Brian Eno-like atmospheres with teeth, during the `70s. Without Wire, you don’t get post-punk, techno, Britpop, shoegaze or industrial (or at least, not as they are). Between the more recent Read & Burn EP series and full-length Send, these music innovators have remained relevant in the new millennium.

Fantastic band. I don't think anything they do will ever beat Pink Flag though. That's really pathetic if you just think that Wire is a hipster band. They're obviously an incredibly important punk band and last time I checked this is punknews, not Skatepunknews or onlybandsthatsoundlikeRKLnews. the reason they quit is because they're boring? i was going to make a minor threat joke, but feeding5k beat me to it. pretty good review although I have to agree with Feeding that this band does nothing for me. Wire's coming back again. Elastica got sued by them. wire rules Do I have no taste if I think Wire's best contribution to music is 12XU? | Features
