Hoo boy, talk about one aspect of the band holding back the rest from greatness. It's frustrating enough for the listener -- I can't
imagine how it must feel for the band. Counterpunch's self-titled debut suceeds musically while coming up short lyrically.

Your leap year might be one of the better songs i've ever heard. This album rocked my face off. It was hard to put back on, but I figured it out. It's a swell album and the guys in the band are really swell I've heard. Good album. After my first listen I thought it was amazing but after three listens its starting to fall into mediocre range. this band is tight as hell yes. but their songs are fucking aweful. fucking aweful. whoever said 3rd rate pop punk band nailed that one. fucking aweful. remember downloading a couple of there songs a while ago that i never bothered to listen too. Their album cover reminds me of 5c Deposit 4 some reason Great album, minus that one shit song. My band actually had a show with them a few days ago REALLY nice dudes, really awesome. Phenomenal live band. Harmonies are just as tight live as on the record. Never really took the time to read a lot into the lyrics, mostly because I was just so damn happy they released something. Been going to their shows for a few years now... the second I saw this band's name, I knew they would be a thrid-rate pop-punk band. haha wow those lyrics are pretty fucking bad this is one of my favourite records of 2007, i've known these guys for a while and im glad to finally have the a full record worth of songs but yeah.... that song does kind of suck ''why is mom still hatin' on me''... what the fuck. |
