When I first got to college, it seemed like everywhere I turned there was a different random kid with giant gauges in his ears and an Armor for Sleep hoodie on his shoulders. I figured if I had any chance of being considered cool, I’d better get into this new band, and I soon came to enjoy Dream to Make Believe and, to a lesser extent, What to Do When You Are Dead. A guilty pleasure, if you will, but some of their stuff reminded me of latter-day HomeGrown, whom I’d followed through their emo phase. Hard as I’ve tried to remain as cool as those kids with gauged ears, this one just doesn’t really do it for me.

is where i stopped reading. "When I first got to college, it seemed like everywhere I turned there was a different random kid with giant gauges in his ears and an Armor for Sleep hoodie on his shoulders. I thought that these guys had potential after their last album but they just keep treading water from what I've heard of this. i hate to say it but i actually enjoyed dream to make believe. This guys voice sounds terrible both live and recorded nice question mark at the end- go me Attention KurtTGS, what exactly makes you a christian? I am serious here, I just like to hear varying viewpoints on why people call themselves christian? First album: Snooze. Boring as fuck. Score's for the math in the review. i think they worked with a metal producer on that one Fuck. I'm a Christian and sometimes I say fuck. i haven't heard this yet except for whatever the single is and wasn't impressed, but man did i love the guitars on what to do when you are dead. i think they worked with a metal producer on that one and you can certainly here it in the crunchy, ass-kicking guitars. the execution of that album was only mediocre, but those guitars had quite a nice sound to them. i hope that they continue that sound on this album, but from reading this review i highly doubt it. props for reviewing this, I thoguht about doing so as I liked their previous efforts in the same you way you described, but i just couldn't force myself to listen to this....seriously, i tried, it's just terrible. Yeah, Prevent Falls. i can't understand how this band got big. they are boring as sin. does anyone remember prevent falls? they were really good. these guys are not as good. "arent these guys a christian band?" arent these guys a christian band? I like the inclusion of mathmatics, blacklung. i can't understand how this band got big. they are boring as sin. |
