Madcap played first. First impression is a lasting impression and the lasting impression made on me was only an “OK” one. I couldn’t understand why the lead singer was watching the rest of the guys to see if they were in sync or something. It was like a little lost child who forgot his part in the school play. Their first song “Going on the Road” was by far one of the poppiest songs I’ve ever heard in all my life. Actually this band was quite poppy all together and that’s not a bad thing. I chuckled when this band tried to get a pit started and there were about 5 people running in a circle beating on each other. You know your pit is sad when you have a blonde girl with big cleavage jumping in it. That’s not an every day occurrence. Some of the other songs played were “Downtown”, “New Age”, and “Two Steps Behind”. Please login or register to post comments. What are the benefits of having a Punknews.org account?
flogging molly fucking rocks...and the bouncing souls havent put out anything good since 1997 so flogging molly is the only reason that this is getting what its getting and i didnt even go to the show... I saw the show in D.C. when they came here. It was pretty great, but the Bouncing Souls are definitely overrated. Their singer is a fuck. Flogging Molly is god....if in fact he were a drunken Irish mandolin player... u are stupid...flogging molly is stupid...bouncing souls....not stupid, very very very good.....you are stupid dumbass.... what does propaghandi have to do with this? and by the way, its been nearly 5 years since the last Propagandhi album. What have these guys been up? Some years back Propagandhi went out and formed the G7 Welcoming Committee Collective (a worker owned and operated record label dedicated to the expansion of resistance culture through music, print, and spoken word) rather than putting out their own new material-until now. part 4: that kid talking about jerking it is one sick kid. Oh ya here is my quote for you emo kids: i couldn't believe it. I had worts on my ass. And thats the story of emo The Bouncing Souls sound like a lot of the other bands on epitaph. Flogging Molly, I dont see whats so great about them, Yea they are a decent band but I dont see all the hype. I do like the song off the Warped Tour Comp, and a few other songs by them are pretty good at best. MadCap is just a bad band. Going on the road is a terrible song, their set at warped tour was terrible. one time i woke up and i decided to wack it. I was strokin' it when my mom walked in. That was the worst day EVER! I think of the Souls as "lounge-punk". bouncing souls is a pop-punk band. a good pop-punk band. just because a lot of the new pop-punk bands are shit, doesn't mean the word "pop-punk" means "bad-punk". There are plenty of great pop-punk bands out there. BS is one of them. maybe we like the Souls but don't feel like dishing out 10's to bands that just pick up their instrments and play. A band has to cuase an amazing feeling on stage and in the crowd to get a 10. They do not do this on the stage, but the crowd certainly gets into it. I have no idea what the hell you were watching. How can you not like the Souls. The Souls have their own sound. Unlike other bands out there. Why don't you guys get someone out there that actually knows stuff about punk music. Damn you suck! Flogging Molly was insane. The Bouncing Souls just looked high. They didn't have any energy, and the singer looked like he wanted to leave. listen, the bouncing souls are the best band. i saw them at the palace and the glass house and they rocked. i also did not like madcap but that's just my opinion. one man army is fuc$#*@ punk rock and flogging molly puts on one of the best shows on earth. the souls are a great band, and any true fan would have enjoyed the concert and all the energy given off. for those who do not know the last song they played was manthem. and dont talk crap unless you know what your talking about because when you do you sound like an ignorant moron. (just a word of advice) "You were probably still wetting the bed when the souls got started" This show was great. Yeah it was a little crowed, but it was a good time. I watched them in Buffalo NY and they kicked ass. But hey they always do! " i need to find a new viagina any kind of new viagina, it hard to ryhm a word like viagina, Calin Clin kind of, noth carolina" - FAT BILL is this guy a joke or what? Damn straight they're talented musicians! After all the Bouncing Souls have been around for 14 years. You were probably still wetting the bed when the souls got started. Don't even imply sellout or lack of originality (ever hear Ole or Bullying the Jukebox?) They're nothing but dedicated to music. The fact that you label the Bouncing Souls a pop punk band is quite disappointing. True, Hopless and HISMSV are a bit slower than the first three albums, but still far from the shit that is pop punk as we know it today. In any case, a large majority of the songs played in S.D. were off of the first three albums, and if you know anything about those albums, you know how fast and hard those songs are. Sorry Sheena, but it sounds like your exposure to the Bouncing Souls has been minimal to say the least. Maybe you should be more familiar about a band before you attempt to accurately review them. Or, maybe the Souls' should add a fiddle, mandolin and flute to their set. Then they'd be incredible, right? I'd have to say that the Souls' put on an amazing show in SD as well as L.A. the night before. Greg's demeanor on stage was laid back. Who cares? It's been like that for a while. The rest of the band went off and so did the crowd. If you didn't recognize the last song of the night, maybe you should listen to their ablums a bit more closely. Overall, the Souls' were the Souls' and that basically means a great show. Canes' however is a weak venue. I saw this tour in Chico, I have to say that Madcap was boring, one man army was okay. But flogging molly was the craziest thing i have seen in a while, the crowd went nuts. And the souls were a little disapointing. I saw them at warped tour and loved them, they still played good, but greg was drunk out of his mind, and they played way to many new songs, and not enough old stuff. What the hell is this person talking about. The Bouncing Souls are one of the greatest punk bands ever. God damn. San Diego must suck. I think that this reviewer is a riti. They need to learn how correctly construct sentences and be coherent before writing a review. too problems with an otherwise good show: way too crowded and the souls never play long enough. Are you talking about Lamar Vanoy? It has oi chants in it. My opinion of the show- I don't see how you kids can talk shit about the Souls. I guess they have more of an East Coast sound. Greg has one the most amazing voices I've ever heard. I think we I go I'll skip Madcap. I saw this show in Seattle and it was pretty good on that night. From what you said though, it seems that Madcap got a better reaction here in the NW then in San Diego. One man Army was ok. Flogging Molly tottaly made me fall in love with their band. As soon as I have the cash I am going to buy all thier cd's. As for the BS, they were alright. I have seen them five or six times and this ranks as the worst that I had seen them, the crowd was into and they sounded ok, but an intensity level was missing. They still were better than most bands though. so, Sheena IS a punk rocker!! I wasn't too sure after that Mock Orange review, but I know now. Bouncing Souls were great when i saw them. Flogging Molly might be the greatest band ever to walk the planet.- fathead dude, the B.S. ruled the show totally. i loved them soooo much, i think you're completely wrong. i didn't like madcap at all, i wished i knew one man army, flogging molly ruled, and b.s. was a total blast!! why do i feel like i've already seen a review of a show on this tour? Hmmmm..........this review expresses exactly how I felt. Madcap was decent. They had a decent sized pit. One Man Army was awesome as always. Also, I don't know if anyone cares, but I spoke with was of their roadies after the show and she said that they would not be staying on Adeline records but would be moving to a label with great distrubtion. Flogging Molly was one of the greatest live bands ever. People went nuts. As for the Bouncing Souls......disappointment. Their albums are way better than their live show. It just seemed like they weren't into it. This is not to say that the crowd wasn't but Greg (the singer) just seemed like he wanted to leave. I was at the Glass House show on the 10th in Pomona. people in glass houses shouldnt walk around naked either lol people in glasses houses shouldnt throw stones thats great. later roflmfao nice one scott And you suck for not writing one yourself, you fucking lazyass. People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones, ass. | Features
