Shows at the Fireside Bowl in Chicago are always entertaining. If the bands themselves are not spearheading the fun, it seems that the crowd will do it themselves. Such was the case for this show on November 16th. Please login or register to post comments. What are the benefits of having a Punknews.org account?
Dude, seriously.....good move. You fucking NEVER kiss girls in stretch pants, like I was at this house party this one time, and this girl in these weird striped stretch pants came up to me and asked me if I wanted to go somewhere with her, and she was pretty hot, kinda looked like Gwen Stefani, but I was there with this girl so I had to say no, but she ended up going with my friend and they like made out behind this diner or some shit and he got herpes. It was gross, man. and also remember : its not rape if you(the victum) enjoys it. I went to a The Stereo show at fireside like a year ago and they had basically one good song and the rest sucked. And the one good song wasn't even a good song, it was only good cuz my friend bought hte Cd and played it like 54 times in the car and it reminded him of the girl he loved or something. All I remember about htat show was that it was stupid, and i hated the music, because all punk music sucks, especially emo. And The STereo is SO NOT EMO. And there was this really hot girl there wearing stretch pants with lips on them. And I cut her with my fingernail on accident when she handed me a flyer, and she tried to get me to kiss the cut. I was flattered, but seriously, she could have a cold or something, and I just don't want to get into any kind of trouble with vaginal/cut diseases. i heard the same thing about the fireside not closing after all from a few people i know in chicago I saw the Gadjits and the Stereo in Atlanta, not Chicago. But that's beside the point. I came knowing the Gadjits had changed their sound and I expected them to suck...I was so wrong. I liked them as a ska band, but they do this sound even better. They even got the snot-nosed "too cool to rock out" kids grooving. The Stereo was unbelievable as well. The small audience allowed them to interact more. After the show Jamie brought an acoustic guitar and played for half an hour outside with people at the show. It was amoung the greatest concerts I've ever been to. Woah, where did you hear that? Last I heard everything was still going as planned, but the city hadn't completed the paperwork yet or something. Give me your source, man! The fireside isn't closing. The city backed out of thier plan to tear the block down to put a park in. Too much gang activity in the area is the reason supposedly. fireside bowl didnot close down. I think there a Against All Authority show tommorow..... i like the Gadjits ska sound. the last thing we need is a nother ACDC. also, i thought i heard this place closed down? that might have been another place in chicago though. anyway, how bout them Bears!!!- fathead dont fly those stars and stripes for me. i was there ecept i was bowling I was on my way to that show and my friends car fucking broke down. =((( I missed it. I was in Chicago the first week of sept. and seen Horace Pinker, Lynards Innards, Cancer Merchants, Spider Virus and The matics at the fireside bowl...Honestly it was one of the best shows and one of the coolest venues I've been to. Except this place in Atlanta it's a laundromat/bar/punk club. |
