Title Fight plays speedy, emotional pop-punk seemingly influenced by early Fairweather and Saves the Day. Their Kingston 7" is an admirable display of musical prowess, involving chugging guitars, solid energy and a sincere yelp. So there isn't much to rail Title Fight with regarding their songwriting skills, but boy, most of the time Kingston comes off nearly identical to the west coast's First to Leave.

Loud and clear is the most catcheist song ive evr heard. This band is incredibly tight. Really young, and really talented. And this is a great release. Should definitely have a higher rating. I agreed with you at first listen of First To Leave, but then after getting into them, they sound nothing alike vocal wise. I remember in 2003 everyone though Thursday and Taking Back Sunday's vocalists sounded similar and if you look back at it now, you'd be crazy to still say that. And I really doubt this band has ever heard First To Leave, hell I had never heard of them until you mentioned them. Recently started listening to them. Great band. Good guys as far as I know since they are local. Awesome band. I actually gave a similar to review at this is a garbage review this seven inch is amazing. i totally don't get the first to leave similarities at all, i just don't hear it. its punk man, no one is reinventing the wheel here. This rules. I listen to it everyday, check it out! Wow. This awesome...and that First To Leave band is sweet too. I read "Fairweather and Saves the Day" and went to try this out. Musically it's dead-on, but these vocals just aren't really doing it for me. great kids. great band. they're just getting started too. keep an eye on these dudes... This band is good as hell for being as young as they are. Flight Plan is a sweet label that deserves some support, so pick this up and the Memorial record when it comes out. |
