Contacts today (or luck) can get you a long way in music; this is one of the happy stories that never really happens. All Idols Fall recently supported A Wilhelm Scream for all of their UK tour and will be doing the same for Anti-Flag. They have also just released their debut EP on the UK's most active and one of the biggest UK independent punk labels. They seem to have covered more ground than any active UK punk band and only started in the summer of 2007. Now the great thing about this is that it's not been done by some big management company who view success as profits -- sound-wise, it's deserved success.

Love the sound, love seeing these guys live, proper safe people too. you guys should've seen them in leicester...everyone left when they finished! This EP is available in the US on Interpunk or direct from us at www.deckcheese.com :) you think finger tapping is guitar wankery? you're the wanker for thinking that. Yeah, saw these in Manchester with AWS. They were OK. I was going to give the EP a shot but it was a fiver and personally I thought that was a tad expensive. re: spoon of grimbo "playing to about 50 barely interested people must kinda suck." I like the sound of this band. Solid riffs, great vocals with straight and fast punk songs. Now if only I can find this EP. I saw these guys on the AWS tour too and they were totally awesome. They were really intense and energetic and really swayed me. This EP is pretty damn good although I agree the production is a tad poor but thats neither here nor there. Did not know these guys have been only around for 6 months. saw these live with AWS in birmingham, and they were pretty good, although i kinda felt sorry for them - playing to about 50 barely interested people must kinda suck. Based on this review, I am anticipating getting home so I can hear some of these guys' music as I am certainly a fan on the "Nitro style". I just hope there's not as much of the guitar wankery that annoys me about AWS (e.g., hair metal solos and finger tapping). |
