The Unveiling is the second full-length release for Kelowna’s Cry of the Afflicted, but first for Christian heavyweight label Solid State Records.
Their approach of mixing metalcore and just enough catchy pop vocals make this album absolutely nothing different than any other band trying to break into the same scene. Each song sounds like a single that you could listen to for day -- or, put negatively, that it sounds pretty much identical to the track before it.

The cover is just a bad, bad rehash of Underoath's cover. horrible review I meant like dumping the whole bottle into another bottle of perfume, and shaking it up. what do you mean sugarfull? a half of Channel, a half of Tommy Girl and a splash of the Elizabeth Taylor shit makes for a delcious shot. AND it makes your piss smells like a whorehouse!! Mixing religion and metal is like mixing perfumes...just don't. This band thought THX1138 was "like, totally dystopian, brah". that girl is on some sort of drugs, obviously. |

This review is horrible. If you cannot tell song apart from each other then not only should you not be reviewing music, you also have a horrible ear. That excuse has to be one of the worst I've ever heard. Another thing I hate is when you don't look at an album for what it is instead of comparing it to everything else. And who cares if it fits within a typical genre? If everything was completely original, we'd have a new genre for every band.
